I was looking at this post

pub14.ezboard.com/ftheste...3094.topic (http://pub14.ezboard.com/fthesteelwarriorthearena.showMessage?topicID=3094. topic)

and was thinking bout the effects of Hand of Ro. It is one of those spells we as druids dont really see the effects other than the FR debuff.

Here is some good druid propaganda:

Test 9 1985 ac (controll test)
average hit 263.76

and

Test 10 1985 ac With druid's Hand of ro (100 atk debuff)on the mob for the entire test.
average hit 221.31

HoR saved 42 dmg on average hit to the tank. The difference between 1504AC and 1985AC (481AC difference) is 23 dmg on average hit. So casting hand of ro on a mob is equivalent to adding 962 AC to the main tank. PLUS the AC debuff to the mob will increase melee damage all around.

Ok, I know its a stretch with all the threshholds and stuff involved. But imagine if everyone believed it!

You're assuming the effect of AC keeps increasing linearly with no limit. Most of the evidence I've seen is that it doesn't, and is capped. However, the -ATK debuffs do seem to help a bit in damage mitigation.

I use Hand of Ro constantly anyway, since it practically ensures that each nuke will land for full. The damage increase and mana savings from that spell are invaluable.

I was under the impression that it was binary, ASCII is just a bunch of symbols, ÜÇ┼σ♂Γ¢╞k, right?

Correct, it is Binary, not ASCII.

128 64 32 16 8 4 2 1
.__0 _1 _.0 _.0 1 1 0 1 = 64+8+4+1 = 77 = ASCII for M

(.'s are just there so it spaces out correctly... damn HTML for collapsing spaces and damn EZBoard for not allowing HTML to get around it)

so...depending on how you look at it, they are both right
