I don't know how many of you have had occassiona to embue emeralds lately, but I have. I've noticed (and reported) an issue where I am unable to simply 'drop' the embued emerald.

Pick up emerald, cast embue emerald, wait for spell to complete (and/or gem to refresh I've played wth timing here trying to see), click auto-equip once (it shows another emerald in the 'undone' stack), click auto-equip twice (it shows another emerald in the 'done' stack). This doesn't actually give you an extra emerald, but I haven't figured out when it is 'calculating' the extra emerald. I'm just irritated as can be that I have to click twice to drop the completed emerald.

This seems to be buggy whether I'm just dropping the emerald or trying to place it in a completed stack directly. Anyone else?

That's pretty strange, does the same happen with no emerald on the cursor when you cast imbue emerald? Never saw this happen with plains pebbles. /shrug

Doh, just thought of what may have happened. You picked up an unimbued emerald, cast the spell which pulled an emerald from inventory and put it on the cursor, so when you drop the unimbued you were holding it then shows the imbued one on the cursor. :)

This only started happening a little while back. I've always cast embues by popping the gem on the cursor.

Yeah, it was changed awhile back so that imbuing a gem acts like a spell with a reagent. The spell checks your inventory for an emerald, deletes it, and creates an imbued one on your cursor. Looking at the spell history on Lucy, the change seems to have been made 9/4/02.

Yeah, I was confused by this also for a bit. Now you don't have to have the emerald on your cursor, and isn't that nice!

I tried it without the emerald and it worked this way. Silly to change a spell I've used for ages without telling me /sigh Ah well.../wtb spider silks
