I have this wonderful ability and just realized that I may have been using it wrong. Once you DC a pet and the 72min time elapses you do NOT have to recast on pet? Call me a noob but I did notice that my pets still obeyed me after the 72min were up. I just thought they had to be recharmed. After rereading the aa abilities and the fact it says the charm lasts till you log or zone the recasting is not required, right?

Annoying actual bug: find a dark blue con unicorn all by its lonesome in WL (only players in zone: your druid self and a warrior). Track down unicorn, find a tiny black unicorn. Toss a Dire Charm on it. Get 'spell did not take hold' and tiny black unicorn chasing you off and trying to fear you.

DC can only hold on level 46 or less. at level 65 any green animal can be charmed now. At least from what I have found.

Oh and almost got sig fixed. Sorry am a noob with computers too heh

You haven't found any level 47, 48, or 49 animals then. Those /con green at 65, but cannot be DCed, obviously.

Sorry haven't been back to board for awhile. Was pretty much referring to PoP zones. So far DC has worked on anything green I have attempted. That's not saying everything green to a lvl 65 player can be charmed.

I am on the cusp of training DC and then Exodus and Innate Camou...thought about MGB but I am nixing that idea atm!! maybe later......Now hearing all this....is DC really worth it on a level 46 mob!! wouldnt it be better to just get the new charm spell.....or am I wrong on this....I have wanted DC for a long time....but now am starting to think maybe Exodus first....hell I dont know so many choices...just give me my 50 AA points and then I will train all of it.

ALthough I wish I could go back and take regen 3 off....seems pretty useless now.....for a druid anyway....ahh well such is life....time to XP grind!!

I stronly recommend you get IC and Exodus first. They are a druid's best class skills by a long shot and will be used ALL the time. DC is very situational. It's great for grouping in PoV. Starting at lvl 61 it becomes basically a DPS benefit to groups as you cannot really solo with DC mobs in the planes...you will go OOM healing them if they don't die outright from the onslaught of 600+ hitting mobs.

Actually its rather easy to solo in PoN and PoS with a DC pet, its just about as efficient as root doting you just need to find the right mobs. If you can get a mask and some swords they do really nicely

/agree Eyed

Have no problems at all using DC in POS or POV. About the only stupid thing you have to worry about is dire charm getting dispelled by some mobs you are fighting but that means you just have to spend some time ordering your buffs on the pet. It is a refreshing change to kill summoning mobs for a change.....although Command of Tunare is the better way to go in these planes :)
