Hi guys. . .

There was once an article i think we got it from here, concerning the druid and their value as debuffers with the ros line. Reading it lit a fire in our druids to organize our debuff line on raids. i have since joined a new guild and their thoughts are that the druid debuff line is useless so don't bother. i would give anything to have that article again to educate on the value of a druid. The article took all of our debuffs. . and looked at the effects when all in place on a mob from rfs, rsd, immolate, bor. . etc. . .and basically showed when all were cast on a mob the fr, atk, and ac differences that were made.
Does anyone remember this article or have one similar? Would so appreciate it.

I don't use them that often, only on the big-bad mobs where the fight is going to last more than a couple minutes. And even then, only if I have the time, mana, and line of sight to do it. If resisted, I won't try again, but instead let another druid do it. The aggro from these spells is insane. A perfect example of a situation where you want to use it: Dain. Long fight, AC/Attk/FR debuff very helpful.

I do like casting it though because I get to hit my "Debuffed" hotkey:

/4 FIRE in the hole!!!! <( %T )> has been DISJUNCTIONED... rezplzthx

I use our debuffs all the time on the big mobs. Although I dont know what attack the bossmobs have I'm sure the debuffs help a bit. Even if it would only take down the mob's attack by 1 or 2 percent, it might be the 1 or 2 percent that are needed to keep the maintank alive. In addition the huge fire debuff makes it for wizards much easier to land their fire nukes or for a necro to land his "skelli transformer" on certain mobs that you want to have in a small size ;)

The only thing you have to look at is the stacking.

Fixation of Ro (FoR) and Ro's Smoldering Disjunction (RSD) overwrite eachother. The only way to get them stick is to cast Ro's Fiery Sundering (RFS). Fixation won't overwrite it, but Disjunction will. Same counts for the Ro's Shadowed Flame (RSF), the clicky effect on the Elder's Armbands of Ro (dropped by Diabo Xi Va in Vex Thal)

On most mobs you won't have a chance anyway to land FoR, because you need to use another fire debuff on the mob first. That prior debuff is RFS which lands on nearly every mob without beeing resisted because of it's resist adjustment and you need it anyway to stick RSD with FoR. Getting the debuffs in is not really a problem. If you get resisted, try again. Sooner or later they will hit, exceptions are certain mobs like AoW and some other mobs that can't be harmed with fire. Of course, if you overaggro the mob you will most likely be eaten *g* if you dont have ****load of HP.

Debuff order:

1. Ro's Fiery Sundering (lvl 39)
Decrease Fire Resist by 37 (L39) to 43 (L65)
Decrease AC by 5 (L39) to 7 (L65)
!!! Resist Adjust -200 !!!
Duration: 5 minutes

2. Fixation of Ro (lvl 44)
Decrease AC by 15 (L44) to 18 (L65)
Decrease ATK by 52 (L44) to 62 (L65)
Duration: 10 minutes

3. Ro's Smoldering Disjunction (lvl 56)
Decrease AC by 26 (L56) to 27 (L65)
Decrease Fire Resist by 66 (L56) to 68 (L65)
Decrease HP when cast by 150
Decrease ATK by 58 (L56) to 62 (L65)
Duration: 10 minutes

or

3. Ro's Shadowed Flame (click effect)
Decrease AC by 18 (L1) to 27 (L65)
Decrease Fire Resist by 55 (L1) to 68 (L65)
Decrease ATK by 30 (L1) to 62 (L65)
Duration: 10 minutes

RSF and RSD are basically the same spell, beside the 150 HP DD component on RSD and for this will overwrite each other. They would overwrite FoR too, but when RFS is on the mob they overwrite this one and so stack with FoR. Since I have the Elder's Armand I use the clicky and save a spell slot with this.

After 9 minutes you can redebuff the mob with only FoR and then RSD (RSF).

In addition you can increase the debuff with casting the BoR DoT on the mob.

4. Breath of Ro (lvl 52)
Decrease AC by 18 (L52) to 22 (L65)
Decrease Hitpoints by 92 per tick
Decrease Fire Resist by 27 (L52) to 33 (L65)
Duration: 1 minute

Total debuff will be:

49 - 67 AC
110 - 124 ATK
93 - 101 fire resist

I think thats not so bad

Im in the habid of making sure every raid mob is suffering the full force of the debuffing we can do (4 spells). .

works out to roughly 61ac, 131 attack, and 98fr when properly stacked

Well, I use 4 spells to debuff, but RFS gets overwritten, so only 3 debuffs remain on the mob. I used the spell infos from Lucy, there the sum of the debuffs make it to 124 atc. Did you use Caster's Realm?
