Hello.

The effect of the EP Gloves. Do they safe fixed 25% of SF or UP to 25% of summers flame (like Marr's Gift, or Preservation of Xegony).

All of the mana savings/damage/heal improvement focus items are random, even though many places have them wrongly listed as a fixed percentage. I see no reason for that effect to work any differently.

Prolly cuz lucy reports em that way and that is usually taken as gospel.

Lucy info often shows ranges for things, but all these mana savings foci are listed as "save x%."

No, no source is faultless, but Lucy is more relied on than most.

Incidentally, I went looking through the archives last night for any old parse threads on this topic and I couldn't find them. Anyone know if they are still out there? None of my google searches seemed to work.

Incidentally, my google searches seem to always find posts in the EQDruids forums...not The Druids Grove forums...any idea why?

I don't know what the search routine being planned for the new boards is. If it is still google, not sure that the intention is to search cross boards.

I guess the other whatsit boards have their own search which will be better.

vBulletin indeed has its own search function, which is much better than EZboard's (i.e., it actually works).

In the case of mana preservation and improved damage and similar random effects, the spell file contains the maximum percentage value. The game then takes that number and generates a value between 1 and the number in the spell file and uses that as the percentage of savings or increase.
