As a druid who hopes one day to get the eighth coldain prayer shawl, I was noticing that the Crystalline Torque (12ac mana preservation III) was one of the few items out there that was not NTOV/Sleepers type loot and did not take up the precious shoulder slot. I was wondering what you think a fair price would be for such an item given the current market of ODSs.

they are selling for 10k+ on trib right now.
I believe that price will slowly drop.

Nicely done Ligge....I think 8-10K is probably the right range. Saw someone on Bristlebane selling one for 40!

Nightmare of swapping FT items, focus effect A and focus effect B items all the time, ugh. Lessee... do I want 1 to 20% more damage with this nuke with Harla Dar's Tali, have it cost an additional 10% less with the Torque, or get FT2 while it casts... decisions decisions... and here I thought EQ's 20 or so inventory slots was just an insanely high number.

Just bought a Crystalline Torque for 15k on Xev. I swap it out with my amulet of grey wastes but other than that it's always on.

Look at it this way... reducing the cost of casting all spells by 10% is equivalent to increasing your effective mana pool by 10%, which is
equivalent to increasing your effective wisdom by 10%.

That makes the torque effectively equivalent to a 24-25 +wis neck item (that is not subject to the wis cap) for most of us that can buy one. Sort of a no brainer for 15k.

I didn't want to buy the ODS because I have a prayer shawl there now and may upgrade that later anyway.

I bought mine about a week ago for 6.5k. It replaced my chickenfoot necklace (Klandicar's Talisman) which I turned into a Sleeper's Key anyhow. However, since I dropped the Mana Pres 3 from my shoulders (had ODS) to my neck, I can now wear my Shawl of Perception which I think was a better overall trade off for me.

I bought mine for 10K about 2 months ago, then left EQ for a while. Silly me, I should have taken advantage of the perennial EQ deflation!

I'd pay 10k for it (in fact I advertise for it nearly every day). Have yet to see one for sale on 7th =(

"Look at it this way... reducing the cost of casting all spells by 10% is equivalent to increasing your effective mana pool by 10%, which is

It's been tested to do 1 to 10% savings average 5%.

It's very good.

Bought mine for 6k or so, easily worth twice that.

I got mine for 6k as well. I think it's worth it.

Just saw one on nameless for 12k and snatched it up. I've been watching bazaar and trade for it for 3-4 weeks and this was the first one i've seen for sale.

Now the big question is has anyone tested the combined effect of scm3 and mp3 ? The extra 10 percent across all spec sould be very interesting if it stacks correctly.

Saw on trib for 6 or 7 k today, forget which. Tempted in a way.. I can still throw on amulet of insight to buff and SOE self then use the torque for actual solo mob killing.

I bought one for 3 k a while back, and today sold it for 15k, hehe. I have no intention of doing the shawl quests so I'll continue to wear my ODS for MP3 leaving my neck slot open for my current 3 swap karkonas talisman/amulet of insight/warden symbol of tunare.

My SK already misses the torque, which I've replaced with a spider fur collar. But I figure with 15 k I can get him a horse or better weapon which will increase his efficiency a heck of a lot more than saving an average of 5 % mana on spells will.
