That DE mask that some of you older players have does not drop anymore does it?
That was the one that is useable from the inventory slot (like the AoN), but for some reason, they nerfed it, changed the name and now not useable.....
Is that assumption correct?
If so, thats too bad. If i am not mistaken, I dont think there is one on Torv, so no DE druid running around.. = (

I am a Paladin that has my DE mask and I have seen a druid and a ranger with DE mask also.

I thought DE Paladin was the freakiest but rangers and druids hehe.

I remember when those masks defaulted to monks or human ppls w/o vision enhancing spells.

I got mine cuz my whole group died while I went LD, came back and the @#%$ was the only thing up and i rooted him in the corner of the room and rotted him. Difficult to do back in the day, our roots sucked. I was one of the few DE druids on my server, I think there are only 3 left.

I was 32 or so on the tribunal server and practically on my way to guk when this was nerfed. A friend went to get his and it was nerfed that day, it dropped and he went "NOOOOOO!OO!!!!!"

I really miss it because it would have been a fun item. Wolf form did nearly as well or better in some ways for faction, but the guise would have been fun (plus neriak is indoors)

I was happy when they put in the innoruk regent line of quests, so at least my dark elf cleric could experience form change with that one use halfling mask. I've had fun and lots of great faction work with that. I don't think they'll ever have something like it for a druid, even one use. Its just too easy for us to port back to an area to get it over and over. She has to depend on donation ports or something to do that.

I understand some of the reasons for verant taking this out of the game (everyone would be running around in DE form, takes away some of the content) but now there are only a handfull on each server with them, if any at all. I think they should do a thing like the halloween events where they restore all loot tables in old world as they were when eq was a new game. So manastones and guises dropping in guk, etc. Just to let some of those rare items get a little more flow into the game for a week or so. just my opinion (but its biased as I would do ANYTHING for a guise)

anyone think I could bribe verant to give me one? I'd drop a few hundred bucks :P

Given the choice between a Darkelf Druid and Ogre Druid, I'd take Ogre Druid. Nothing like being unstunable from the front and having an excuse to speak like an ogre.

well, it is, and it is, kinda. I don't know of any PC's with one. maybe on Legends... but not in game for us that I know of.
