I Know it has to do with charmap file, but what do I do after that???!! Thx a ton if anyone has the time to answer this.

I just copied this from somewhere, but here you go:


Go to - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Character Map. This will list all the characters you can put into your hotkeys. Pick the ones you want, click the Cut button.

Open your EQ folder, find the (youcharacternamehere)_76.ini.ini file for your character. Inside the .ini file near the bottom will be all your hotkeys. Paste the characters you cut into the spots you want.

Save As. You will see an encoding line at the bottom of this, make sure it is UTF - 8, then save.

You can also modify this file by windowing EQ during play, but you need to zone after you save it to have the new keys work.

what font type? does it matter? When i pasted in my .ini file it showed up only as an apostrophe, oh nos... please help!
