A small bet.

How much time before SoE give to us the players a way to put apart a item and a augments without destroying the augment?

Why I see it will come:

- The items from the next expention will need to be realy realy more powerfull to make me decide to use them after I have used a few 1492 ap for a augment that I have put on a item like a focus of a ft effect.

-Do I will redo all the adventures to get a new the augment that I have put on the item, no realy.

If they add a costly solvent that permit to keep the augment and the item intact it will permit these two effect

1- Make a interesting platinium drain.

2- We will have 2 way to upgrade the equipement: items and the augments. Now we will speak of true flexibility.

For my-self, it will be like 1-2 months before the next expention. And for you?

i bet they will not do it.

it's better business sense for them to make you play another 15+ hours to buy the augment again (assuming hard, or 30+ hours on normal).

if 100 people on 30 servers put in 30 hours in one month to buy new augments for new gear, sony has grossed over 38'000 dollars...

hella business to be in!

Then the new items in the next extention are better to be goodly and by better without augmentations (and I mean better in all the sens (hp, mana, ac, effect and stats)) that the present ones with augments, and that can be get by only 1 group of players or so.

If not, I will get with no way of upgrade that I am ready to take. I will be surprised if I will be the only one. I will do the AP grinds for augments only one time, not two.

By the way SoE can add all the items and augments they want. I have nothing againg to gring AP for new thing, only for the augments I already get.

Perhaps the next expansion will be more story than items.

Let the rotting vegetables now fly toward me for that suggestion.

Story? EQ has a story?

Having us play longer doesn't really benefit them. We pay a monthly fee, not hourly. Their best benefit is for each of us to pay the fee, then play only one hour per month. Less bandwidth used that way.

I think it would be a great plat sink to allow for the removal of augments.

A reverse dissolve would be interesting.

It destroys the item and all other augments, returning 1 augment of your choice.
