Some spell changes on Lucy seem to indicate that pot9/bot9/potc/potg will no longer be overwritten by ****terance (temperance), Assgo (aego), or Virsuck (virtue)

Virtue and the like are the Devil and cause Cancer and Sterility. Praise be to Karana that those ****tastic buffs will no longer overwrite the goodness that is PotC/G/9/Bot9. Please, Please, PLEASE let this go live, I hate when I'm on a raid and have to run away from the Devil...

Hmm, I think they may have broken the 10th ring stacking...it looks like regens will once again overwrite it.

Of course it's also broken in the current state in that it blocks a number of dots, heh...

I almost never get hit with virtue ( - fennin raids~), and if I do, click off virt, tab, /cast 8, bingo. :)

What I want to know is are clerics going to be asking druids to pay for wasted peridots when HoV bounces on the whole group, who then all click off 9 and ask for HoV again? ;)

They can ask all they want, but that doesn't mean they won't get anything.

I'm happy to give clerics a peridot if they cast symbol on me, but they aren't getting jack from me for casting virtue on anyone.

One time I logged in a newb iksar on a friend's account to PL him for a bit, this was after the group buff nerf, but he still had bot9 on him from before (which meant that I could keep extending it as long as the iksar didn't die or get it overwritten/dispelled), and as soon as i logged in some cleric cast temperance on me. Thanks a ton.

Really I think Blessing of Temperance was the last straw. I swear people would MGB this in PoK just to be griefers.

Well, the reason that ensnare got overwritten was because the necro/SK/wizzy snare had more ... erm ... snare. Most druids and a good number of wizzies and shadow knights prefer ensnare on account of the 12 min duration. It's a toss up with the necros since their snare puts out some nice dps at the higher levels.

To solve the problem (when aggro kiting) is to have the wizzies mem bonds of force (level 29) instead of atol's spectral shackles (level 51) and the knights to mem engulfing darkness (level 22) instead of festering darkness (level 61). Ensnare will overwrite bonds of force and engulfing darkness, giving the druid some margin for when ensnare gets resisted.

As I've mentioned before, the necro's high level snare may be preferable to ensnare. Embracing darkness (level 63) does 70 per tick for 2 mins. And I will guarantee that if you have a necromancer in your group, mobs won't live long enough see embracing darkness wear off.
