And now for something completely different...
In a surprise move, PoM content was revamped yet again on live servers in the Nov 6th 'patch'. I suspect this is the version that was rejected earlier but then someone worked on it when PoM 2.0 was vilified by the PoM community. So let's call this PoM 3.0.
I mention this here to bring it to your attention. I didn't see mention of it anywhere else on this board. As always, more detail can be found at the PoM site (http://pub57.ezboard.com/btheplaneofmischief). That's the place to accumulate it.
New quests, lots of new events, new mobs to kill, mobs in the moat, new and old loots. Yup, old loots. A pot of gold (http://www.magelo.com/eq_item_info.html?num=17326) just dropped in the main room (as you enter the castle) for my group. You can even buy a deck of spontaneous generation (http://www.magelo.com/eq_item_info.html?num=17054) in the main room from 'a chest' vendor (if it isn't up then kill chests till one spawns). The cost? It's free.
So go check it out. Most everything is no longer kos, feel free to wander. However, for the AiW section you'll want camo.
Where is Bristlebane? No one yet knows. But you have to do Bob the painter's quest first, apparently.
I've played Hide and Seek with Flittle Kookittle, had Enabel Tsirb (bristlebane spelled backwards) explode into multiple copies on my group, and attempted one of Chuckles the Great's plays in the theater with a full group. Failed them all, hehe. At last, a challenge. =)
We can only hope the rewards are comparable to the effort and risks.
