Tried to cut and paste from Casters Realm but can't highlight the words on the page. Not sure if that is some kind of protection setting they have or if my browser is bugged.

Anyway, someone posted they believe they saw the spell with the other enchant metal spells in Neriak. I don't see why you can't have a mule buy it for you in Thurg, though.

Yea its not in Neriak / Felwithe / SH / PoK or Erudin...Ive checked :/

I don't see why you can't have a mule buy it for you in Thurg

Cause the mob isnt up atm its being perma killed due to another bug on it where celestial essence were selling for 0pp..........problem is its also the same mob which sells the spell!

WTH! I tried to copy and paste something from CR, they've made it so you can't copy and paste anything!

Ok, that's it. They're *out* of my bookmarks.

Now CR is going to lose another 70 posts/day

/sigh

I don't post there. Don't even read their message forums. You can't highlight text even on their main web site.

Hmmm... maybe you can with Mozilla.

God thats retarded. I hate casters realm more and more each day. I always cringe when I see "well I got this info off of casters realm and...". Sometimes its good information. It is almost always wrong though. Either through expantion changes or patches changing the way the spell works.

I still remember when they had the PoP cleric group heal listed as an AE rez. In their defense it was called Word of Revivessence (completely misspelled but whatever), but if you looked at the actually spell data you would realize it was never an AE rez, and always a group heal.

Sigh well I will stop myself before I get into a full blown rant about it. God I hate that site.

Caster's Realm has been a pile of crap for years now. Use Lucy.

FYI, you can cut and paste text with out any problems from the site using the Opera Browser. <grin>

I just view the source and take out what I need. Then again, I tend to view the source on every page so..meh.

You can also choose "Select All", copy to notepad then cut out the portion you want.

Disabling javascript should work too.

Castersrealm is using a java function (disableselect) to prevent readers from selecting items on the page for copying. However, you do NOT have to disable your browser's javascript entirely, and you certainly don't have to install an alternate browser.

If you're using IE, just add "http://eq.crgaming.com" to your browser's Restricted Sites list (tools > internet options > security tab). Then use the Custom Level button to make sure your "Restricted" zone is set to disable java and scripting.

I typically add a site to my browser's Restricted zone whenever the author exploits scripting to disable what I consider 'normal' browsing activity, such as using back/forward navigation buttons or copying a quote so I don't have to retype it.

Also in my restricted zone are sites which allow advertisers to use annoyingly heavy animations for their ads, and sites where every page forces flying pop-up media. For instance, I like Allakhazam as a reference site, but some of those flash animated banners at the top of every page are just too graphically intensive to waste such resources on ads. Anyway, tossed that site address in Restricted zone and now I only get GIF banners on each page ... some are animated, but none are as heavy as Flash.

Oh, and I have nothing against OperaSoft or any other 3rd-party browser developers ... and I'll mention that Opera is the only serious alternative for those who don't like NS or IE. However, many of the "unique" features for which those independent browsers are popularly known have actually been possible through IE for years; just takes some basic tweaking.

Yes I know it is just old Netscrape that is still updated, but for many that IS an alternative.

When AOL bought them I could smell the steam coming off, did not even need to see the Java cup logo to tell what they did to that program.

I love Opera, but have not used it in a while.

You chopped off the context of what i said .... it is the only serious alternative for those who do not like NS (netscape) or IE.

For anti-Netscape folks, mozilla ("old Netscrape that is still updated") is not really much of an option is it. ;)

If you don't want to go through the trouble of setting the restricted sites in IE, I would suggest downloading this little proggie:

http://www.proxomitron.info/

It's a very nice little free utility that acts as a filtering proxy between your browser and web sites. I've yet to have any pop-up ad or those awful flash animation ads like on the Wired Magazine site get through. You can add sites you don't wish to filter to its bypass list among other things. It's highly customizable.

I use the Google pop up blocker and spyware stopper.
