I try to keep up with these goings on with the city sized boat being built and all.

After yesterday's story addition, I wanted to go see what, if any, progress might have been made. Well....

They fixed the zone from Jagged Pine to Surefall, BUT they broke the one from Jagged Pine to Nedaria's landing.

You run to the tunnel, cross through and.... your in surefall next to the gem pedestal. The only one I didn't try was the gnoll gem pedestal which was the only manual way out when they broke the village pedestal.

Musical zonings != fun.

SoE have decided to add a zone with a lot more variable contents. The zone is named Nedarria'S landing At fist this zone was mostly empty (only 2 Wayfarer's NPC in the camp and the mob was level 20-35) and have some nice waterfall and some visual special effect (go loot to the fish).

Now this zone have 2 piers, a forge and a sawmill and a good number of NPCS and seem to have bigun to be the nwe center control of the Wayfarers. They are also 4 news quest in (find 4 uncommun drop in the zone and give them to the NPC to get a few money and xp type).

Soe seem to have changed the zone line to and from this zone. Now the zone line is near of the Brell's Gnoll (near of the succor point)

Now we need to see if the zone line will change again at the next patch and if someone will make this forest to burn ;)

Returned last nite and can verify the way in/out is through the friendly gnoll caves; run through the waterfall behind the oracle.

The bug is fixed; I'm now getting experience here. Things are heading lite blue-green range at 33 if you head right at zone in, still dark blue/white/yellow if you head left.

Drops are just ridiculously rare. I was hoping for griff/anaconda meat, but a solid 2 hours yielded me 2 griff meats and a few other miscellaneous things that sell for about 1pp each. One quest giver asks for 3 griffon beaks, the other for 4 basilisk or silverfur wolf skins. In my time there I got one basilisk skin and haven't seen the other two as drops yet.

Araxx, this is live on all servers.

Its a lowbie zone. I went with my sk at 41 ish (can't remeber for sure) most of it was green...couple in the middle were blue.

Its not a bad farming zone, seeing as the animals don't give faction hits (like the ones in JPF) most of the bears and such drop pelts from low to high quality, and you can forage plant shoots too!

Its a pretty boring zone tho, I mean the waterfalls are nice..but 3/4 of the zone is water with nothing in it. I haven't tried fising there yet so I dont know about that part of it.

At level 19 some are white (near of the water and the waterfall), a few yellow and the rest are red. At level 21 about 75% are red 20 are yellow and white the rest are deep blue (i Love tracking).

For a druid, most of them are animal and will not agro you automatiquely (the grffons will attack you fast). For the other class I don't know.

I actually completed one of the quests. I turned in 4 basilisk hides to Vdrae.

Reward was 6pp, 9gp, 12sp, 15cp. Also 2/3 of a blue experience (this at level 33).

Oh, well, at least I can fool myself with the idea that maybe I'm the first person to do that particular quest on my server. I'm assuming the other quests have equally lame rewards.

Drops have, over the past 2 days, tho, picked up, and new items keep appearing. I'm finally getting a decent amount of griffon meat. Go me! :p

After yesterday's story addition...Where do you find these? The newspaper guys in the towns?

Anyway, sounds like they're leading up to the next expansion at any rate.

If I put all the unsubstantiated rumours together, here's what I get:
Two new expansions are planned (lets call them "no 1 and no 2").
The next new expansion, no 1, will be the continent on the other side of Norrath, the one depicted on the SkyFire Globe.
This expansion will have a fair bit of storyline around the Wayfarers.
This is why they (wayfarers?) are building a massive boat, to ferry people over.
This expansion (no 1), or the next (no 2), will have a level limit increase to 70 or 75.
Each level has a requisite 35 AA's. So, for example, if you have 80 AA's, you'd be able to level twice through xp'ing (to 67), but no further.
Each level will include at least one spell for each class, the best being at 75 [or 70] (duh).
There will be new AA's, in no 1, or no 2, or both.
The new graphics engine will be incorporated in this expansion (no 1).
The old graphics engine can be used for people who don't want (or can't) use the new one, rumoured to be directX 9.0
There will be 3 end-game zones in the expansion (not sure, no 1 or no 2) instead of 1 zone.
There will be some instanced zones (ala LDoN), but not all (no 1 or no 2, or both)
A new class will be introduce, the Beserker. Unknown races at this time.
The Beserker will be a melee class most resembling the Rogue and Ranger. They will have archery, but not as good as rangers. They will have some kind of innate sneak. They will have some type of assasinate skill.

My question is:
What kind of timesinks will we have just to be able to get on the boat? Please don't tell me I need to gather 100 beaks, or complete 100 adventures.

Probably the same that the Stonebrunt's boat. Just click on the door to get the ride. Or if you realy want to pass time you can help the Wayfarers to collect the items they need. Maybee before the next extension, they will need some plane of time drop?

But for now it is interesting to see a zone that finaly that have a story evolution that do permanent change in the zone (other that the old trolls city, and even then they have changed the zone slowly).

It is a good idea to get a new tools to told a story. They may do it for the next extentions after this one too.

PS: In warcraft after you have make the farms (or wayfarer camp), a forge, a sawmill and 2 piers, what did you need to make boats already?

The stories are in the story window.

Where is this level limit increase coming from? All I've seen is player speculation which for some reason people are beginning to believe.

I for one do not want to have to level again, I'm sick of the grind and enjoy being free to finally play.
