Does anyone know of any guides out there to taking down Inny in the new Hate? I remember seeing someething in the past, but cannot remember what is needed to take him down. Any help would be appreciated.

The one you see up in the throne room is a gimp. Kill him, real one pops.

With adds.

And more adds.

Then the adds come.

With friends.

And careful, Druids have been nerfed in the new hate, no more SoW, Wolf, Harmony of any kind. It's indoors now.

Good crowd control is a must. need to figure out what to mezz, root and off-tank. He has an AE rampage also to be mindful about.

I know! It's the way of things with revamps, gotta nerf at least one thing for Druids. It happened with the CT revamp (harmony, charms), Veeshans Peek (animals uncharmable), and Hate 2.0 (changed to indoor). Gotta go check out PoM to see how they nerfed us there

Ya... but being indoors, the whole agro through walls, and agro half the zone thing is kinda not there =-p

[Edit] To make it clear, I was refering to Hate.

CT has always been outdoors.

When it was revamped all the mobs were made harmony immune, plus the gorillas (and fish?) were made uncharmable (or rather, not animal tagged any longer). Anyway, yeah, the immunity flag has been removed from mobs. /cheer for that at least. :)

Wait.... Are you saying that the charm immunity flag has been removed?

Just want to clarify. Did you say they reduced the Agro in Hate? No more half zone agro through the walls? If so then that at least is a good thing. Maybe Clerics/enc can calm to compensate for the loss of Harmony. Before they made terrible pullers because of agro giving them short life spans..

Woot.. so the CT harmony immunity was lifted? That is great for those stupid linked spiders and lizzards that always had to be taken 2 - 3 at a time. I still get mad about the non-animal tags on the fish and gorrillas.

Back in my 20's a charmed gorrilla was great DPS and a lifesaver at times. Also invis/fear to animals worked for pulling. The charmed fish were free Exp since you could just charm one. jump out of the water, wait till amost dead. break the charm (if not already broken) and dot or one nuke kill it. Rince and repeat.

Not reduced aggro. Its just that outdoor zone walls dont actually exist for mobs, whereas indoor zone walls can be made as part of the geometry, as they are in Hateb, so that mobs cant aggro/walk/melee/cast through them.

Since no one really touched on the specifics..

What's needed: a good sized raid force of 40-50 people or more, preferably level 65. A CH chain of 5-6 clerics (it's a long, long fight), and a good supply of tanks (MA / SA and rampage at least). Some mana pumpers like beastlords, necros and bards are also a plus. It's not a really "tough" fight, just long.. Inny has a ton of HP now. Levitate is a plus (he still does the gravity flux deal, although I don't think it's the same spell exactly, it's enough to interrupt clerics). He also debuffs seldomly, which can be annoying, so saving a few MGBs for VoQ/HP buffs isn't a bad idea.

First Inny is a faker - kill him and shortly after, the real Inny pops outside the room and can be pulled by your MT. This is maybe a 20 second delay or more.

The real Inny: Pretty straightforward fight, MT + rampage tank engages, CH chain starts, melee, melee, melee. Support healers do the one-off and group heals while clerics maintain the MT. At certain intervals (my main raid char is a cleric, I never get to see mob health) he snags adds (zombies) to join in the fight. Paladins are great offtankers for these and they aren't really any nastier than the trash zone mobs. I recall him being under 50% when this occurred.

I think the biggest problem to worry about is mana.. especially when your MT's defensive is off and you go from a leisurely CH pace to a quickened one as your mana pool runs low. Note that you can't use a horse (indoors) so that's a pain.

However, his loot is worth the hassle.. Two FT3 items and some other goodies (usually drops a marsinger item).

The way it usually goes is to plant him into the corner of the room near the doorway, while everyone else non-melee hangs in the back of the room. It's possible to ram yourself against a stone column (chimney?) in the room to avoid spell interruption with the grav flux push.

Good luck.. it's a fun fight. All this is off the top of my head and of course may not be 100% accurate, i'm no raid expert, but since we had just tackled Inny again last night, I figured I'd spit out what I knew.

Another thing to add to what Langevin said is that in order to be able to cast on Inny, you have to be in his melee range or the spell will get resisted. (Just like Velketor) After we figured that he was like Velk, he dropped fast, we only got one wave of adds, then demolished inny.

Also, the Real Inny AE rampages so Max melee range is a must.

To address another point in the thread about Hate 2.0 being indoors...couldn't you still wolf form if you used Feral Pack (LDoN spell, indoor wolf form)? Wouldn't be able to Harmony, but I don't see why wolf form wouldn't be a possibility still. :)

Hmm some say you'd need a rampage tank for real Inny, others saying he AE ramps? He does both, time-rz-style? Also, if he AE rampages and you need to be in melee range to land spells; do you fire mgb heals to counter the paperbag armorwearers' hurt or is his AE ramp damage small(ish) or do you just train the casters real well in locating max melee range?

All this is making me want to go kill that inky god :)

I ran in to debuff, darted out (usually having taken a round of hits), then spent the rest of my time dealing with adds.
