I was wondering if anyone could supply me with anything and everything they know about this damned mob lol I have been on that Island killing every Seafury I could for 5 days with sessions spanning from 10 to 16 hours and I have not seen a single tainted spawn. Is there any help someone could give me with spawn times, chance of spawn, etc. ? Thanks in advance for your help because frankly this is :bs:

You're just having horrible luck =-(
They're usually fairly common, especially since people didn't really used to kill them, since they summoned and stuff.

Should I just go level, do some other epic parts, and then go back? I mean Horrible is an overstatement for this situation.

Really up to you, if you can stomach it, go for it. You should be getting experience still, and making some cash as well. Plus you could pop over to the next island and kill the jboot PH if no ones around/camping it, and snag some jboots to MQ for cash, or a friend, or an alt.

Sounds like you're having the same luck as I did with the LOIO (corrupted barracuda) part of the epic. I camped him for 15 hours at a time for about 50 hours in total. All you're having is a streak of really bad luck.

I would suggest to just keep on keepin' on until you get it. It's times like these that will make you appreciate your epic when you get it in the end.

Here is what I did, I bound on the island with the AC and poped in every once in a while to check track. a couple days doing this and he was up (actually was 2 up). Killed looted done.

Yeah. I think I'm just going to stick it out one more day and if I don't get him today then I'm going to just pop in on occasion to see if he's up.

if newbs are hunting there for xp you can always ask nicley if they will tell you when it pops. Worked for me a lot of the times. Seriousley thought going for 10 hours without corupted, while killing phs.. something is wrong.

I've heard that the tainted can be pulled away from the camp. Either on purpose or someone was just running away. If this is the case, he may not wander back. There was probably a good chance he was up but not close enough on your track list.

I can't confirm this, just something I had read a long time ago when I was hunting him for my epic and did some research.

I know I had a bad day one day, so I pulled the tainted to sisters island docks and left. Ooooh were there some unhappy campers about that

Ya, you could try wandering around the zone looking for it, but there can be a whole island full of tainted if you get (un)lucky, so don't go kicking yourself thinking the only possible one was up elsewhere.

I got my seavines finally. I was about to give up and was halfway to Sister Isle to sell when I saw it on track and went back. Got a Mage to help me and it's all gravy. BTW, Casai I don't think it's fair to call people hunting Seafuries newbs since they are about level 50. :)
