** Shadowhaven Casino goes on vacation **

We're sorry to have to say this, but the new casino has become too popular. The huge number of players gambling at the casino is causing issues with the servers, and has been responsible for a few zone crashes. Unfortunately, this means that we have had to remove the casino NPCs until after the New Year arrives.

new patch message:

* Other Changes *

- Cancel magic will no longer remove disciplines or melee abilities.

- Fixed a bug that was causing the party to be unable to see hit point updates for the last person to join their group.

- Healing Will and Focused Will now stack with most other hit point regeneration effects.

- Corrected a bug that was causing AAs to increase the duration of combat abilities.

- We have reorganized the context menu for Disciplines to make it a bit more logical.

I wonder if this is related to a bug we experienced last night. While backflagging some POJ trials, we had the case where the last person to join would either not teleport into the room or be the only one (in that case it was me) to teleport in.

Not good.

PoJ trials have ALWAYS been buggy. I never heard that they got fixed. People just got them done and didn't look back.

Translation: We sucked enough plat out of the economy to make up for the recent exploits, so we're shutting down the casinos for a bit. :)

We noticed the same thing in the BOT Towers last night. People were getting left behind from the group, causing the keyholder to have to keep going back out to get them. So it wasn't just POJ, and it was annoying and time-consuming as heck!

Insane lag last night almost wiped my guild's raid, and then we couldn't rez people because they were getting booted while zoning and were unable to get back online. Innoruuk bobbled up and down for half an hour or so, then stabilized ... minus the casinos. I guess it's possible that it was just a big conspiracy to sucker some plat then yank the NPCs, but I'm more inclined to take the patch message at face value. They underestimated the affect on the server, and had to pull them. :)

Same thing happened to us Danae...as people died during our Fish raid, couldn't get back in, which totally sucked because we were kicking ass. =P

Next time we will have Sushi fo shizzle!

But yes, it did suck, I waited 10 minutes because I just thought it was a loooooooong zoning time, ended up ctrl+alt+deleting and playing Simpsons Hit N Run.

I wonder if that was related to the casino they added.

Man I am glad they fixed that HP thing. It just so happens that our tank was the last person to join the group. I thought I was going crazy when I saw the "XXX goes into a beserker frenzy" but his HP was still at 100%.

Shadowhaven is already a fairly heavy zone. As much as the devs wanted it to be popular and useful, I just don't think SH was a good choice for such a concentrated influx of traffic - especially because it caused additional back/forth traffic through Bazaar, a zone already pushing its limits.

In my opinion, they should divide the load by adding Casinos to not one, but three or four cities ... and even better if it could be older places that don't see much traffic anymore, like Freeport, Qeynos, Erudin, etc.
