Basically... RTFM :D

On the Abit IC7-Max3 at least and probably others, if you have dual channel RAM then install it in slots 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 - *not* 1 and 2 like you traditionally probably used to do!

No harm whatsoever, but I've been running a ~£2K machine with its RAM on single channel for the 2-3 months or so that I've owned it - what a plonker LOL
(When you pay that, it's kinda nice to run the machine at its potential!)

Ah you've got that sweet ass board with the 875 chipset. I'm running on the abit NF7-S and it took me a week to figure out to read the gd manual also :moon:

Yeah, it's one very sweet board :D

Some minor complaints like the way over-normal temp readings on the IC7 series (60C+ CPU temp at load, depending on room temperature with Aero4, properly applied Arctic Silver etc... lots of people report the same) and a rather naff northbridge fan on top of an otherwise excellent heatsink. But they're only minor issues, it's an excellent board otherwise.
