One of the most memorable quests I did as a young druid.

Really only got it to tell the difference between Nillipus Jumjum and regular jumjum.
And did.

Thing I got for turning in was a Rod of Identification. Effect: Identify, but did not work.

Now it appears that that little red gem does not work anymore either, for druids at least.

What level is the character you tried to use it on?

According to lucy it has a minimum level of 40 to use the effect (which may not have been in place long ago when you first did the quest)...

The Rod of Identification still works - probably the same as the star of eyes, but not sure as I've never had the star of eyes.

Rod of Identification:
- Put Rod in Primary slot
- Put item on cursor that you want to identify
- Select 'Self' as target
- Either 'Right click' on Rod, or 'U'se (or 'A'ttack)

Funny thing is that I also used my rod for the jumjum that I buy from vendors. There's Nillipuss' jumjum, as well as Stolen jumjum, but only the Nillipuss' jumjum works for the quest.

Aye, that is the irony.

I destroyed the rod, why did I need it?

Star of Eyes is now unequippable.

Getting stuff identified is no problems, of course.

Like the week Shralok Packs became "unpending lore", but they failed to mention this on.

Well it was a good quest back then.

Just one of those things, is all.

Was Star of Eyes ever equippable? I had been using it from inventory on my monk.

Just checked on my 57 monk, still works...

Star of eyes has not ever been equippable as far as I know (I have had mine since before kunark) just tested this about 2 minutes ago, and it still work fine for me.

Star still works for me. I only ever used it from the inventory slot. Did anyone ever equip it???

I must just be retarded then, have not used it in a long time.

If it still works, I will figger it out.
