Wow I just logged in for the hell of it after 4 months and see the same old sh*t for sale in bazaar. Nothing at all for even a fairly decent level druid to buy for pri/sec or bp slot. I see a guy wts ESG for 1700 LOLOL. WTF is he smoking, then he says he has a guy "competing" at 1k. WTF I wouldn't give 200pp for them when I quit. This game is so freaking lame anymore it's pathetic. There isn't sh*t gearwise that even makes me even remotely want to play for fun, which is all there is in this game for long-term, upgrading kewl new things-but then you can only do that after umpteen many freakin days pumping your guild full of "merit" for the next stupid doo-hicky that has a dot all of 65/tick. WTFever, glad I quit!

Made total sense to me. For him, progression is measured by gear. He took a 4 month break, came back and absolutely nothing had changed gearwise. So he's saying he is very happy he quit the game as he would have spent the last 4 months scrounging for nothing.

For me, getting to see new places and try new things was my enjoyment (and my friends). I see that the latest expansion doesn't allow for me to do that either. I've spent 3 hours playing EQ since November or so. Friday night was 1.5 of those hours, and I have to agree, nothing different. The people are good, the game, well, in many ways the game needs help.

I read it as saying that there weren't enough decent dropables for druids to buy in the bazaar CHEAPLY for someone who only wanted to play on occasion. But to get the pp to buy dropables, you have to make the pp first anyway.

Yea was in rant mode last night hehe. Actually it's not just the gear that interests me, but as part of the whole interaction with the world concept, it's part of it. Is it so much to ask for a variety of nifty weapons with neat effects (if only cosmetic)?

Getting the money was not the issue. I quit with over 50k banked~put it on my friend's account which is still active while he's in Iraq. He gets back next month and is welcome to twink away with it...maybe having him back will bring some interest back to the game /shrug.

With you being out for 4 months, you don't know about the plat problem then I guess. Item vaules skyrocked even on the lamest gear. LDoN is part of blame since it's easy money, and of couse the people cheating using program errors to make plat.

Everything has a reason, your 50k today isn't worth too much as it was 4 months go. Some High end druid gloves in the bazaar cost 50k alone.

The good stuff is gotten through questing. Raiding, and grouping in LDON and to a lesser degree GoD and PoP.


If you want the same crap from 500 vendors all at x2 the price. Thats the bazaar.

I've spent over a million plat on my bard twink >.< Rediculous the prices of stuff these days, but twinks are pretty much all I have to spend cash on besides stat food.
