Since the patch I have been having some serious lag issues. I am just wondering if anyone else is having trouble or is it just a timely coincedence. I used to get the occasional lag spike and had some trouble in PoK from time to time but now it is much worse. I died in PoV the other day because I couldnt control my toon on the run to RCY.

Was actually kinda funny watching my toon run out of control. I was running along the water just past the OC and then got a little squirely. Got to far inland and into the agro range of the skellies, the bastages that they are. It happens I guess but I am hoping the lag goes away soon.

I haven't noticed any more lag. Actually less, but I attribute that to the number of people unable to logon due to the DX9 requirement....

so... we're talking about (1) network lag (which is the original lag) or (2) just bad performance (normally called bad FPS as in frames-per-second) ?

I've had a real mix of changes. Some zones like Tower of Sol Ro and Vex Thall are running much better even with raid numbers and 100% clip plane. Some zones are slower and laggier like North Ro and Tranquility. GoD zones like Barundi are almost unplayable for anything that involves movement and turning unless the clip plane is at 10%. I've had to turn spell effects off when playing my paladin since they really freeze everything when close up. The environment is much more annoying too and when running through Qinimi, say, I'd find myself stuck on obstacles I'd have bumped round and over before. I'm also running worse for lag after the second patch than I was was after the first.

This will be a nice set of changes, once they finally get round to fixing the damn things. Roll on the next patch.

Hmm I think they made it so those top end computer run the game slower while those with crappy computers ( like me :P) run the game alot faster. That's least what guildies are saying.

I havn't seen anything wrong with the lag system so far, all the same to me.

I've been having some major video card lag issues. I get about 1 frame / 5 sec now with the new DX9.

Nimchip has clarified to me that there is a difference. I am not having lag troubles. I would definately say that it is a frames per second deal. Some zones are really bad in the FPS department. Hopefully this is something that can be fixed without me having to upgrade hardware. Thanks for the info.
