They should've made its paws twitch too!

Not to change the subject, but I think I've indentified a new "meow" sound from my cat. It's kind of a short, quiet little meow. Yet insistent. It means, "Mom, come see what cute thing I'm doing!". Last night I was subject to this until I got out of bed to go into the shower and see my cat sitting on the shelf in the shower. He seemed very delighted with himself.

How could you want that cat and not want this?

I had a program for my old C-64 called Software Automated Mouth. Or SAM. Text to speech proggy.

That was in 1984.

When I was playing around with Windows 2000 the first time, I stumbled into the accessibility options, and there was a text reader...called SAM.

Sounded just like the old SAM.

Thought that was funny, took 15 years to get Windows to do what that old C-64, with only 52K of total working RAM could do.

Your title just reminded me of that is all.

Storm, that's just frightening. Even more frightening is that there are people in my social circle who would think that the funniest toy they've ever seen.

Hehe... I think they must have an entire dictionary just through different meow sounds. The idea kinda reminds me of an early Red Dwarf episode.

I'm surprised how intelligent dogs are also... there was something on TV a few days ago with one doing sums... for example the lady said "what's 12 divided by 2?" and the dog barked 6 times. She demonstrated it quite a few times.

Storm - LOL :D I've seen (and heard) one of those in action, so to speak :) It would be a good one to take to work!

I keep expecting to see a cat version, but I don't support an over-excited desk pencil sharpener would quite have the same effect :)

Hehe Fyrr :) Heck, Longhorn's getting virtual desktops! Those have been around since what... 1981? :D But now it'll be hailed as an amazing new innovation *shrugs*

Was it me or was TDG dead for most of yesterday? (Hence 2 posts, I had 1 waiting to go but it wouldn't)
