If you have a max skill at Forage of 200.....and you equip yourself with a Foraging Machette with a 10% Mod to Forage......will this bring you to skill 220 at Forage?

But I think the REAL question is whether it even makes a difference.

From what I hear, it doesn't matter any more. It used to be that you needed a high forage skill (like 100+) to forage "rares" in a zone. However, now I think the skill only increases your 'success' rate. IE, at 200, you will never fail to forage SOMETHING. So, 220 would be no better than 200.

What Manwin said is correct.. at 200 you get sojmething every time, and I believe what you get is random, so it will have no effect.

Really? I haven't in over a year. (Right before I hit 200 skill)

I ran a parser on all my logs, dating back to about march 2002, around level 46. (with max foraging, 200 skill)

Foraging:
Attempts: 25085
Failures: 0
Food: 14812
Water: 4282
Grubs: 1547
Misc stuff: 4444
Success rate: 100.00%

You would definitely have to prove this to me (tho, I don't know how you could). I have had foraging maxxed out for a LONG time. And I forage almost constantly to force-feed myself to not eat my stat foods. I do not remember EVER failing on a forage after hitting 200.
