They finally installed spam and virus filtering! I had 0 spams in my inbox and one message that someone tried to send me an email with a virus attached... a spammer.

I am glad someone enjoys cox. I never really liked them whatsoever. Always gave me the runaround whenever my cable and stuff went out without the courtesy of a good reacharound.

Yea, Charter Cable was pure trash to me, lots of downtime etc, no reasons at all. Took forever for them to come out and fix and whatnot if their was a problem. (Always was their end too..)

Now using Verizon DSL, probably an hour at best of downtime over the past year.

Cox has been so wonderful compared to how lousy SBC/Pac Bell is/was. I moved my telephone service to Cox too because I utterly hate, hate, hate Pac Bell. I've had really great service from them too. Maybe its a regional thing.

Email tests to see what gets through the spam filter. If ya open it up has a 1px x 1 px transparent image in it, so when ya open it up it tells them that their message got through, and those keywords aren't blocked by the filter. (Well, maybe not, but that is how some work! :-p)

Still tons of spam here and I'm on Cox :(

This past week I've averaged 45 spam messages a day, over half had the Netsky virus attached.

You have to enable it. I went to their web site and rooted around until I found it. I knew it was coming in April.
