I *wish* they'd stop saying that on the news.

Leave that stupid war alone for five minutes! They should stop trying to emphasise the unfounded theory that it has something to do with this "war against terror".

I don't care what culture they are.. it's SEVEN *PEOPLE* that died in that craft, not "6 of one and 1 of another."

No shattered family is different from the other... they're all human like the rest of us.

Apologies for ranting at a time like this, but it had to be said.

They would be doing the exact same thing if one of the astronauts had been canadian.

"Seriously, if it had been 6 americans and a canadien in the shuttle they would be saying it that way too."

Israel is proud of their astronaut, and saddened at his loss. He was one of their heros, a true hero.

He is a person, yes. He is also an Israeli.

Even though I'm an American non-Jew, I found the Israeli's life story the most interesting. If he and the other Israelis hadn't bombed Saddam's nuclear reactor years ago, Iraq would probably have nukes by now.

Sorry, it isn't even any of my business really :)

You can tell I'm one of those "can't we all just get along as one entity" type of people. But at the time it seemed like it was going to be another controversial blame on terrorism etc.

However it's great that the Israeli was proud to say that he's such and will stand alongside the Americans... as one team... kinda brings irony to my original statement.
