I know this game its a bit old but anyone playing it? Its one of the best RPG games I have seen, a game that isn't too short like Dungeon siege nor too boring. Graphics and gameplay are perfect too. There is no way other RPG games can compete with it imo. Though the game seems to be a bit hard for me. With the game at easy setting and everything. My level 5 rogue/level 4 assassin dies least 3 times at every boss fight. Some of the boss are so annoying. LIke this one mob that hits for 10 damager per hit while I have only 58 hp, and I can't damage him either. :( Other than that its pretty good . though this problem annoys me so much, I keep getting stuck on boss mobs :(

If you enjoy neverwinter nights, I would suggest checking out this site. I've not had the pleasure of playing with these people, but from just browsing the site it seems like they've custom built a very diverse NWN rpg world.

try hiring some henchmen noli as well as investing money in potions... lots of em. As a dual class you will have a hard time leveling up overall... and dying sucks being a dual class. Try using your stone of recall assuming you did not start shadows of underentide yet. just keep stoning till the mob dies. the lower levels suck as you die frequently. Just take up every sad pathetic quest you can find to help build up exp. Some of the later fights will involve you doing like 10 points of damage popping a heal potion then doing same over and over. There is a fairly good guide for it from prima. Some of the commentary from the mobs is just funny. good luck

Henchmen and some sneaking around to get just their sidekicks might help. Potions for the big fights help, too.

I played the game with my wife. We sort of tore it up, though, as we are just too good. Haven't gotten the latest expansion.

It did nearly have the feel of the old D&D sessions I used to play. Um without the vinegar and salt chips and tabasco popcorn.

I tried out the editor as I do with any game that has one. I determined that if I can recreate the "Tomb of Horrors" with it, then the game was complete. I could not.

I hired a cleric called Linu something I think. She is a big help in fights cause she has way way more hp than me and do about the same/more damage than me. I sometimes just using her to tank for me while I damage mobs from a distance with a crossbow :p In those hard fights of course. :) I havn't played NWN online yet since there seem to be some problems with my game. Howver, it sure seems fun though.

It's possible to recreate the Tomb of Horrors, it just requires a boatload of scripting, modeling, and planning. I love NWN. When I get bored with whatever game I'm currently playing, I go back to just building stuff for NWN using the toolset. I suggest getting Hordes of the Underdark. The story of that campaign is great! The special effects and cutscenes are pretty cool as well.

NWN allows players to make their own modules and the quality of these can be extremely high and well themed. This massive supply of custom content available for download is what makes NWN such a success.

Hordes of the Underdark was pretty fun. I had that bug with the illithid lord dude... farm the mirror first is all I am going to say. Other than that was pretty solid game... the puzzles were pretty fun to figure out. I have been meaning to try some alternate endings to it, which were nice to see a game have, just have not bothered to yet. I have never tried the online version yet.... when neverwinter nights came out a bunch of friends of mine all got it played it some to get the hang of the "noobie" stuff.... were going to build stuff... just never got to it so oh well.

Well an intrical part of the Tomb of Horrors is the entry room painting on the floor.
Bypassing that, I tried to do the begining magic missile trap area, ok found a work around for that even if the rooms weren't 10x10 anymore. 5 foot corridors weren't possible.

When I came to the room with the painted creatures concealing the passageways with colored spheres and the armless gargoyle missing an arm expecting a gem, then I thought about how to do the malevolent wish gem and I decided I'd have to be one of the tool programmers to know enough to get close to making it.

Pit traps and spiked pit traps are everywhere. One trap requires a slowly angling slippery floor. I don't think there was a way to force a player to "slide" across the floor.

Now, NWN was fun to play.
