I would love to have a little alarm clock program where I could set a time for it to go off and it would beep and remind me. Anyone have a recommendation? It should be free or very cheap.

One kitchen timer. <$10, and sometimes free as a promotional product. I use a lab timer we got as a promo thingie from some vendor. If I get another one, I'll send it to you.

Eh, I'd like a computer program myself - Full calendar with alerts etc ((

I use Yahoo's calendar a lot. But I need something that's like a mallet jumping out of my monitor and bopping me on the head.

Jinjre, I've got timers at home, I was just wanting something I can take to work that I won't misplace. :) I hate it when I'm working intently on something and then I'm in danger of forgetting my appt because I can't keep track of time passing.

They have such a program already. It's called Outlook (and a bunch of clones that you can probably get for free). Look up Ximian Evolution and see if they support your platform.

Outlook isn't exactly Free or Cheap. :p Using it for an alarm clock is like using a 747 to cross the street.

For daily reminders I use RemindMePlease from http://www.spacejock.com/ (I also use his YBook ebook reader which is just awesome 8) )

For alarms I kinda like nthClock from http://www.anthemion.org/Software/software.html , its simple 8)

Someone else asked for calendar support...etc. Also, I did suggest looking for a free clone. If you really want a piece of software that lets you set a time of day and then beeps at you when the time comes around, I can write one for you and put it up for download.
