Well, it's no secret I havn't played in 2 months. Today, I just said screw it i'll start playing again. I log in and my char is in the bazaar, with not a dime to his name. And about 4 items missing that wasn't nodrop, that I saw.

Thank you SoE for the webbased login screen. There is no doubt in my mind that crappy login screen is the cause of this. I've been playing since 1999 and never, EVER a hackor. You add that webbased crap and I get hacked. I'm one of afew people I know who have gotten hacked in the last month. C'mon your SONY. Not like you can't afford good programming. What's the deal?!

We had a rash of account hacks right around the time the new login ui went in, like 8 or 9 accounts stolen in our guild alone. Other guilds on our server were also attacked.

But afaik they were all restored and the perpetrator(s) were caught, according to the gm. I'm sure you can get your account restored too, just gotta be patient. 8)

You know its funny - I saw your on the other day with EQIM .. and didn't even think.. I sent you a tell also and got no response.. you can probably get them to find out who it was and have them roll it back

We also had a slew of hacks in the guild recently as well. A RL buddy of mine got hacked, changed his pw, then the next day as we are preparing for a raid I see him behind me. Send him a tell. Nothing. "WTF is on XXX" in guild chat and what do you know, LD and gone. I was on the phone with my buddy at the time and he was in the car. And pissed. =P

Needless to say like the stories above he has received almost all of his stuff back, and supposedly they found the person. Im just glad the night before I logged him on just in case and put him in KT away from the banks and away from any kind of obvious zone line. Whoever logged him in was spinning aimlessly. Worked perfectly!

I actually heard of several incidents, even numerous people in a single guild, getting hacked, while at the Summit.

Looks like SOE needs to work on some security.

Close friend of mine that has played since release got hacked around the same time. He had quit playing and only logged on about once a week so not sure the exact date it happened. They took everything off all of his characters then bound his primary caracters next to some mobs to create a death loop. When he came back he was down to under lv 60 on his wizard and had lost all of his gear.

That is just mean and I hope Karma pays whoever did it back. The Guide refused to roll his acount back but he kept petitioning. He eventually got most of his levels back but none of his items and had to start his epics over but sent CS several emails.

Just went to the guild board to check the last update on the acct that was hacked. This was the outcome:

"Just an update on this. I was just told that I had a character rollback done to (toon name deleted)!

He is back to 61 with all his plat and equipt. It seems that someone with the account name of "ALBLL" was responsible for the hacking and had all of (Toon)'s gear. Fortunately for this person the GM did not give me his toons name, unfortunately (yeah too bad) their account(s) are all going to be banned and nulled."
