Rejoice!
No more bards and shamans complaining at raids about druids overwriting bard magic debuffs with Druid Ro fire debuffs. This is a happy day for both raiding druids and bards alike.

Hey folks,

We have tackled two of the quicker issues and are pushing them to Test for your perusal. Remember that these are the first of many changes and they are concurrent to, not superceding the feedback changes we started last week. We will have more updates from both lists later this week.

- The Plane of Time will now shut down unused and empty instances.

- A portal stone has been added to the Plane of Knowledge to take adventurers to Gunthak.

First round of Changes
Hey folks,

Our first round of changes is going to the Test server today and tomorrow. This round includes the following changes,

- Increase Gates of Discord spell drops through a spell quest.

- Correct pathing issues in Txevu.

- Correct an issue with the berserker epic that caused some berserkers to be unable to complete the quest.

- Improved the Eagle Eye series of spells.

- Increased the drop rate for epic quest items in the Plane of Hate.

The Shattered Emerald of Corruption.
Decrepit Hide
Staff of Elemental Mastery
Essence of Vampire
Eye of Innoruuk
- Evaluate the weight on Gates of Discord monk items.

- Corrected an issue with pet shrink.

- Necromancer pets will no longer despawn after 2 minutes when their master is feigned.

- Berserker snare now has a set duration.

Remember folks that this is merely the first round of many changes coming in the next few weeks.

Hey folks,

I wanted to give you all an update on what we are planning for the coming weeks as we work on some persistent in-game issues. We know that many of you are concerned with the current state of the game and we feel confident that the changes we have planned will help to alleviate many of your concerns.

First on our plate, and number one on your list of concerns, is collision in EverQuest. We are working hard to fix the current problems with collision and have many fixes currently on Test. We will most likely be pushing these collision fixes to the Live servers tomorrow, June 2nd at 3AM PDT. Many of the current issues appear to be resolved with this latest push and our programmers are still working hard to track down and fix any remaining issues. For those of you on Test, thanks very much for your help in getting these issues to Grumbuk.

We are also scheduling out many other fixes, with the first round going to the Test server this week, and subsequent rounds as the changes are made. Currently planned to hit Test this week are the following proposed changes;

- Add a quest to allow the exchange of Gates of Discord spells.
- Correct an issue with the berserker epic quest that left some berserkers unable to complete the quest.
- Improve the Eagle Eye spell series.
- Increase the spawn rate of the Shattered Emerald of Corruption.
- Change berserker snare to have a set duration.
- Correct the pathing in Txevu.

Yes these changes were made almost immediately after the guild summit and are the first summit-caused changes.

This set of changes is part of the "GoD retuning" that has been promised for the past month or two. Its good to see this much needed changes finally coming to test servers and hopefully coming soon to live servers.

I never see much on PvP on this board, but I come here for my druidly fixes.

Anyway, if any of you are interested in what changes are in store for PvP, you can check out the following links. There are some great ideas, and it looks like many will be implemented. There is also alot of complaining, mostly I think its because you have 3 different PvP systems, and every server has their own issues (no more complaining than you see with class boards though, I guess you can put up with it if you look at PvP'rs as a different class of sorts). But anyway, it looks like they are going to make changes that go across all the servers, and might make PvP a little more fun if you are into that kind of thing at all:

From EQ Dev Rashere on the EQLive Leaders board:

Just wanted to give a head's up on these changes since they came up at the summit. This is currently on test and should go live with the next patch. This is just related to BiC quest drops, not other loot on the NPCs.

The Qinimi and Barindu events now drop 3 pieces, rather than just 1. The Barindu event was lowered to a 24 hour-ish respawn.

Sewer rares now drop their piece 100% of the time. The difficulty will be just in finding and killing the rares now.

The cragbeast and kyv bosses in Tipt now drop their piece 100% of the time.

Drop rates in Vxed were increased.

The Primals and Mindrider in Yxtta will now drop their page 100% of the time. In addition, their pages are available off basepop as well, albiet at a much lower rate, to allow a single group path to this part.

Rashere
