Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Fawk you Varent! Who else is pissed this didnt go live. So we have to wait another month to find out what this spell REALLY is? another month of clerics pissing and moaning.. Ugh man, this totaly sucks.

How much more testing do you need? What the hell was the delay for? For a fawking 8th shall effect? To be able to delete your spell?

We BEST see some changes in this patch that is worth something..

I am really steamed over this.. how stupid..

Ragefire changes upcoming
-------------------------------------------------------
I just wanted to pop in and mention this to you folks.

We've come up with a change to the way the cleric epic quest works that we think will improve the situation around Ragefire. We'll be putting it in with the patch tomorrow. Look it over and send comments to use via the Dev Corner.

Alan

From the cleric boards.

Now you all may totally disagree.. but I'm perfectly happy waiting on a new heal for a few weeks if they really did fix Rage this time. The more cleric epics out there the better I say.

I'm happy that ALL the cleric stragglers in my guild will probably have their epics soon, even though we'll lose a ton of raiding hours chasing around whatever incarnation of Ragefire this turns out to be.

I'm not very happy that the most desirable class for raids and the toughest exp zones will become that much more desirable, with no promise that we'll see a new druid heal in the next patch, or the patch after that, or even before PoP is released. It's disconcerting to think about how many players are ALREADY being asked to log OFF their druids so they can log on cleric alts/bots. To me that defeats purpose of having "druid" as a priest class choice in the first place, and speaks volumes for what Verant has allowed each class to become.

Also not very happy that with what I'm supposing will be a bunch of new clickers running around soon; death will lose more of its sting, and this game will lose some of the risk/challenge that has kept it interesting for 3+ years. I'm definitely not one of those death=fun extremists, but I definitely do recognize that no video/pc game is ever very exciting if it does little or nothing for the adrenaline level.

Come on Fyre.
This isn't going to impact the huge guilds that already have clickers for their main clerics. It is however, a very big deal to those smaller guilds that don't have a cleric epic or two yet. Those clerics that grew up with thier smaller family guild, but could not get their epic because of the Rage spawn forever being ganked by the huge guilds. I suppose instead of being bitter and grumpy about it, I'm going to be happy for my cleric friends. I'm sure not even you could deny that the Rage spawn was sick, and totally unfair for any class to have to go through that. Or have you forgotten how easy the druid epic is?

Truth be told, I'm GLAD the heals didn't go through on this patch. I'm GLAD the cleric epic was changed, and the "battle cleric" things were implemented first. Give the whiny clerics a bit of time to get used to the changes, and LIKE the changes - before druid heals are implemented, maybe they'll shut up about how unfair it is.

DoT stacking came with this patch. Be happy about that, eh?
It's a step up anyways.

Yay. More clerics with epics and less drama.

I don't really care. I want new heals.

/sarcasm on
Nice to see they gave the clerics some new heals though.

Come on Kildaere, surely you can't be that thrilled about the fact that once again, Verant has neglected to give druids the healing tools to do what they're most often asked to do in raids and groups, while giving clerics (aka raid gods) more effective ways to do the only meaningful thing we could do significantly better than them: solo.

If I had known that by "priest balancing" they really meant "cleric improvements" I'd have stayed at home and waited for someone to bring me an I was there! t-shirt.

I simply cannot be that upset over something I never had. Mostly though, I feel that the druid collective is beating their heads against a brick wall. I choose not to be angry over things that haven't changed, but instead grasp the abilities I've always had, and the newest changes that affect us in a positive way.

I realize this is merely a game, but thank goodness people didn't think that way when pushing for civil rights. What if Rosa Parks had said, "Well I can't be upset for not being allowed to pick my own seat on the bus, since it's a choice I never had anyway."

Then they rip the cushions off those back seats and use them to double-pad the front seats, and mark those front seats for "clerics" and the back seats for "druids" ... and you still think we're beating our heads against a brick wall just because we're speaking up about something that is clearly not balanced or fair treatment?

I guess if you want to delude yourself, that's your choice and I'll leave you to it. Meanwhile, I'm going to put in my .02 whenever and wherever I can. Eventually, Verant will wake up and smell the bitter coffee. :)

Difference here is, no druids (aside from test) have these spells. Now if we were talking about wood elves getting the spell but not halflings -- your analogy might make an ounce of sense.

I am far from delusional, I want the new heals as much as the next druid. Verant knows druids want this.. your attitudes towards clerics getting thier new toys first will do nothing to speed that along. I just think all this anger, etc, is premature. Hold your crying until the new heals are scrapped from test altogether.

Kildaere, you mis-construed Firemynd's analogy. He was comparing RL race to EQ class, equating Clerics to Whites, and Druids to Blacks.

Yeah, I think it's too early to complain too, but your dismissal of Firemynd's argument is in error.
