Did you see the part that said "Priest Changes" in the patch message? Should they have called it "Cleric changes" because there isnt a single other priest there.

Also, from what I can see.. Basicly they gave the clerics all there items first so they wont piss and moan as much when the new heals go live for us.

I admit I chuckled when I saw the list of "Priest" changes under that heading...

** Priest Changes **

- Clerics gain the Bash skill beginning at level 25. They will have a maximum skill of 125 at level 50, 165 at level 60.
- Clerics gain Hammer of Judgement - a level 56 summoned hammer with a powerful and frequent proc effect
- Clerics gain Yaulp V - a level 56 self-only melee and mana regen buff that adds haste, dexterity, mana regeneration and stamina regeneration.
- Clerics gain Ethereal Elixir - a level 60 group version of Celestial Elixir, the heal-over-time spell.
- Clerics gain Ethereal Light - a level 58 upgrade of Divine Light, the single target heal spell.
- Clerics gain Ethereal Remedy - a level 59 upgrade of Remedy, the single target heal spell.

hmm, nice job at increasing the animosity towards druids by bring the 'proposed' druid/shaman CH to test, then simply turning around not implementing it. Menawhile you implement all the cleric heals that were placed after it. We are to assume that they received significant amount of testing to warrant implementation but the one which had the best chance at 'priest balancing' was in fact left out for futhur testing. This seems to me to have been an aweful joke when I first read it, but it does not surprise me. After having read the negativity the proposed CH generated it appears VI/SOE has bowed to public support: clerics get more solo'ing, ragefire fixed and even more healing. Meanwhile the Druid concerns are for the most part overlook/ignored, even the removal of the snare portion of the epic.

Absor, you come on here to say it requires more testing what you failed to say was due to public opinion (read Cleric opinion) you have pushed this back.

What a horrible start to the day. Yes this is a rant, and yes I am still a lowbie compared to most, but any shot of getting into any middle end to high end guild is quickly evaporating... I should start my cleric/warrior/shaman/(insert class here) as druids are not welcome at this time, and these changes have done more to limiting any shot at being able to see that portion of the game. BTW, I did not start my druid to be a taxi service, i actually chose it over a cleric as it was a little more flexible healer, sorry but superior healing and regrowth does not cut it as a healer in the 50+

anyways, best to get a cafe, read people flame me and continue by state of disbelief

oh and ding 54, not that it matters...

Well sorry for being such a bitter druid today, but Verant has pissed in my cornflakes with the contents of this patch. The whole patch message reads like a "What Can We Do For Non-Druids This Month" pamphlet. If they removed the snare from druid epic, they weren't even consciensous enough to mention it in the list. They like us, they really really like us.

If Verant was that worried about how healing changes would upset game balance, they should have waited on all the new healing spells.

If they are thinking a 2925/400 heal is too drastic an improvement, I shudder to think of what the numbers will be when they actually release the spell. Suppose we'll see some asinine ratio, like 1978/500 with a 10 second cast time. Let's see, do we want three clerics for this raid, or 18 druids. Hmmm. Decisions Decisions.

Apparently I'm the only one that is excited about the DoT stacking going live.

And a ding sound when you gain an AA. (Silly, but yes, I was happy about this.)

As I said in the other post -- I'm bored to tears with clerics whining about druids being overpowered with the proposed 75% heal. Give them thier dumb hammer, and thier new spells. Let them solo for a bit, and have some fun. Clerics were boring as hell to play before. Let them be coddled a bit, just like they always have been.. and then give the druid heals. Will certainly lessen some of the animosity.

And you people wonder why druids have a bad name

You came to the Rant section of a druid message board to troll and flame the druid class? I bet when you want to warm up on a cold winter night, you stick your hands directly into the fire...

I just finished reading most of the patch msg threads in general section. I can't stop myself coming to rant board to post out some of my frustration.

This is the SADDEST day in my eq life. Imo, druids just got nerfed completely.

Snare removed from epic - load another spell in group situation and keep the mob snare = waste of mana woohoo!!!

Fist of Karana - LoS = what the f*** were you thinking Verant? If you dont know how to quad, dont change the f***ing spell

Xp change - great job verant, a big FU to you. Not only make quad kite harder for druid (Fist of Karana changed), but also make the xp less since most of the quad kite mobs are barely blue or dark blue.

Thank you Verant for ruining my game playing experience. I dont even think I'd like to logon today after I get off from work to find out how sucky my druid has become cuz I might be too upset and just delete her all at once.

Sad, sad, sad!!

I met Absor in an elevator at the Boston Fan Faire. He's exactly what you'd imagine.

Good morning Varant..did you take your assinine stupidity pill this morning?

Priest Changes is a joke, not one thing was mentioned about Druids or Shamans. Snare removed from epic is another joke- yes, it won't be resisted by unsnarable mobs but you still have to snare them first~ Lessen cast time on the epic and I might buy your BS.

Wake up this morning, go to school, go to work, get home and find that my Druid quad kites are now useless for exp..FU Varant. Also find nothing in the patch message FOR a Druid..FU Varant.

Well, I'm getting up there in levels, just hit 57, and I gotta say that with all the crowded solo camps combined with the dwindling demand and massive supply of fellow druids that this is going to make exping even tougher... yadda yadda, we get to solo... that's fantastic, cause that's all I ever do with my druid. I really have no other choice. And when I do solo, it's at some crazy hour like 3am or something, when there may be a chance I'll get to grab one of the actual decent camps. The exp grind is getting too tedious and it's so crowded these days that I usually spend around an hour running around finding something that's open. With these new improvements to clerics it only means that getting a sliver of yellow is going to be even that much harder and finding a group still depends on whether the said group has a cleric (for REAL healing) and can't find a shaman to fill the spot that I'm hoping for.
