Your feedback is important!

I like to know if the new server is running well and if you noticed the improvements to your overall experience here at the Grove. Please vote.

Also looking for some ideas, problems you are having and any complaints about how TDG is put together.

Overall the On-line gaming community is gearing up for some new and exciting games.

EQ is still our main priority.
EQII from what I been told is not EQ at all but a whole new game.
WoW is fun so far.
Other Games such as CoH have sparked the interest of our community.

Oh yea if you have a HAPPENING system and were on a business connection or highspeed internet .. you may not see any improvements. But on the serverside.. we went from 50-80% processor usage at peak times .. down to 0.01 - 0.08 during peak times.. IF THAT.

Our Average data transferred per day: 4.032 gigabytes (For the Month of August, month not over yet)
Our Average data transferred per day: 8.202 gigabytes (For the Month of July)

Well I can't speak for all of those who connect here at 28.8 (or maybe I do... I may be the only one!) but it's a lot faster to me to move around the site compared to some others. SOE's is the worst (always has been VERY slow loading) and this one seems to be the best at the moment. :)

SoE does have a Narrowband version of its site I think.

Previously, the server would lag out on a pages constantly. Especially on posting. It felt like it was pulling teeth or something. Nice set up you have here now.

Yes they do. This is what I usually check for downtimes, since the full graphics site is slower than molasses.

Unfortunately the lowsrc version of their site isnt updated as often (never mind that there's still 3 places to check for network status hehe...)

Ah, when was this server change done?

Right now the server seems fast, but it is 2:45am EDT. So am I comparing TDG to yesterday or last week or what?

This is when backups take place, So you will get a busy message then or have the chance to get one. Backups are very CPU heavy. The CPU isn't really too busy to take your connection. At certain times a user limit is a must to insure the backup is intact. It's not only a TDG backup, it's all who are on the server.

Tho, in the near future, the only people who will ever see that are guests.

Backups - so important!! - We actual have a raid 5 and a backup for all you geeks (yea I am one also!) - but quite frankly we need it for the entire server and all the sites we support now!

So far everyone who has webhosted with us are very happy!

Lol... no one says things are worse. Could it be the threat that they would be contacted directly?? Naaahh :D

Seriously -- good job on this site and the servers connections. I rarely have problems.

Last night at around from 2am to 4am EDT I was unable to get the page to load. I know you do back up around 4am, but I didn't think it was 2am to 4am.
