You know, if i had a seed like this I might just try one of those Unkempt [seed rituals], that is if they hadn't been lost along with the Unkempt so many years ago. It is unlikely that any record of them exists these days. Why, there was one ritual that they say could evolve a redwood seed into something new and powerful.

Derrick Goodroot says ' You actually found it. It has a new cover, but most of the original pages seem to be here. I can't read all of this very well. Nobody reads this language anymore, but I think I understand the basics. You will need some high quality loam and some magic earth. Marshes are a good place to find the loam. Magical soil might be a problem, but certainly you can find some that will work. These two items are used to create the cleansing loam. It's the third item that I don't like. The ritual seems to say that you must take the seed and insert it into the heart of a noble creature to give it strength, then rest that in the loam and earth. I don't like the idea of killing anything noble for such a ritual. I'm not sure what I think of this whole thing now. I'll leave that up to you. Here is a pot that you can use for the ritual. If you still want to do this and you find a heart that might work, bring it to me and I'll see if I can help.

Yes but the [river] quest (with potamids) was a nother string, this is separate and includes the new drop from DN as a triger for the rest so its definately new.

Someone in DG chat last night said they found a named fairy somewhere, didn't catch it's name or zone. But since there are fairy nobles in both Faydarks perhaps it may be the "noble" creature?

well named fairy would have to be Lfay, Gfay area. they dont spawn anywhere else do they?

any1 tried to hand this "seed of wrath" to jale phlintoes in SK?

Has someone who does not have epic 1.0 been able to get the text to spur the Maiden hair quest while just having the seed of wrath? Are we absolutely certain that this is the precursor/workaround to 1.5?

Anyone have more info on Spawning Currupted Volaar, Do all you do is talk to Bittik or do you need to hand him something. Any more indepth info would be appreciated, thanks.

Where does he spawn?

He spawns near zone in, will be on track at least from there. Did him with 2 bst and me healing, wasnt too tough. Anyone having troubles getting the Earth Churners in Barindu to spawn, I found one randomly spawned one night and it dropped nothing. I've cleared the 4 PH about 20 times now and still no spawn, and there re-pop rate is insanely long think like 15-20 min. I usually just leave and do other things while the re-spawn but its the last part I need and just can't get it. :burn:

As I requested before, has ANYONE confirmed that the seed of wrath is the workaround for Epic 1.0? Have any non-epic'd folks actually done this?

Ok, I killed the Chetari Packrats and Hoarders for about 2 hours last night, and no book. Is it a rare drop? Or is it supposed to drop more often? I'm just wanting to make sure its not bugged before I go back and camp it for several more hours.

Edit: I went back the next morning and got book on 2nd kill, so it just can take some time, fyi.

Does anyone have any advice on soloing the Chetari? I can't seem to find where they are at, and I keep triggering traps that kill me or force me to egress.

Yea, thats the part I just did. The traps are timed/spawned, so once you trigger them, you have 20 something minutes before trap is live again. So what I did was as soon as I'd hit a trap, I'd evac, and come right back, that trap would be down, trigger the next one, evac, repeat.

The Chetari you are looking for are in the end of the cave in the room right before you get to Zlandicar. They are standing side by side on a slight elevation. I pulled them towards tunnel where Zland's room was (Zland was down), split by rooting/snaring one (dont damage it so it wont summon you) and then kill the other.

They can spawn as almost any kind of mob (melee, caster, necro, etc), but they always have the same name, Hoarder or Packrat (doesnt make a difference what name is, they still can be any kind of mob). When they are melees, ie when they dont cast any spells, they summon. When they are casters, if they are casting spells, they dont summon. If you get a summoner, just keep it rooted, you have just enough time to get one spell off before it summons you, you run away, cast another spell, it summons you again, repeat. They hit for 200 max.
