This step can only be done past 7pm game time, not 5 as stated in the guide. Also I only got one hider to pop at all, and it was the "real" one. Had about 40 to 50 dark blue goblin seekers running all over the zone, mostly concentrated around the bw zone line. Hider popped near the giant castle and I killed pretty quick. When i tried to start at 5pm, the goblin said something to the effect of it can't be started until night time, and wouldn't start it until 7pm. Event ended at 7am game time, so I'm betting that no matter what the start time, it's over at dawn, so start at 7pm if you want the max amount of time to complete it.

After failing the goblin event 3 days ago (I had two goblin hiders, one fake) i did it again and had again mutliple fake ones but this time i did not let em warp at 3 % ;)

I have done the event for myself and helping others. Of the three events, it ended at a different time everytime, ranging between 7 am and 11 am. For one of the events we had to kill about 5 hiders before acquiring the drop. For another event, it dropped off the first hider.

tryed this yesterday. Found a hider on track and tracked forever and never found it. Lost target hit track again had 2 on track. Again lost target and tracked again and had 3. Again lost target and hit track again had 4. When i finally found one it was all 4 stacked on top of each other. Got one to 2% and it disappeard from track and everything no corpse. Went back pulled again had another almost dead and event ended. Started the event at 7pm and it ended at 12pm in the afternoon the next day.

Seem track is really buggy here also since track would lead me to a zone wall then turn around and run me right back the other way. Anyways in the end I found 1 to the right of the giant fort up in a rock mountain.

Yeah for me having to collect the stuff and do this again.

The goblins bounce around the zone.

When I did mine, I did my disguise, said in say (in goblin) 'start the contest' and nothing happened until the mobs outside the tunnel spawned. Once they spawned, they started the contest and aggroed me. Then the King and other nameds started walking out of droga to their spots. Then there were more zone shouts and eventually over 100 goblin seekers spawned and walked out of droga to their places. Finally the king said the contest begins and a single goblin hider spawned (per my track). I tracked him around the zone a few times. One time I had gotten to him and went to hit snare but was on wrong hotbutton page and used Sotw, which didn't aggro him and he warped around. He remained on my target window a long time. Eventually I ran into a goblin hider (after day break) and it was a different hider, as the one was still on my target. Got this one targetted and kited him easy. Gave my 2 friends my loc and they managed to arrive just in time to leech my uber exp. :) I had a wiz and enc with me, I highly suggest bringing rangers, druids and bards for assistance for tracking purposes. The mobs are easy to kill solo, so that's not an issue. Both times I found my hider, it was in the top right hand corner of the zone, first time he was swimming in a tree.

I don't think I stayed long enough to see when my contest ended, as we ported out. I did arrive there at the end of some other druid's contest (the night before), and found that the nameds and all the seekers do walk back "into Droga" after the contest. I hadn't expected that and was not invis, but made it into droga np. Came back out invis and they all walked past me.

Hope this helps someone else, as the walkthrough does not have enough info on this event.

I did this event 4 times. I started it at 7pm twice, 4am once and 11pm once. Each time it ended at 4pm the following day.

I've done this event twice so far, once for myself and once later that same night with a guildie. When we did it the first time, we spent a lot of time chasing the hiders...we'd find one and almost get to it, then it would warp to another area way across the zone, and we'd have to chase it down again. Somehow I eventually caught one, it didn't drop the piece. The second one we managed to caught did drop it, and we ported out.

When we came back later, we tried a different strategy...we camped people at the spots where the goblins seemed to be warping to commonly. Most notably: just north of BW zone-in on the west zone wall of FM, just south of the LoIO zone-in on the east zone wall of FM, near the giant fort, and near droga entrance where you start the event. Event went MUCH better that time; we weren't chasing hiders as far, and they spawned pretty near where we had people stationed. Just an idea :)
