I am thinking of coming back to EQ after LONG break but would want to start totally over. (there are lots of fun things I skipped before and want to take the start from scratch approach.)

I had 65mage and 32druid also.

While I loved my mage I feel for the casual play I am going to do the druid will be alot better and I had lots of fun on the druid too.

My first question is are there some newbie quests for armor? I would probably make WE druid, if that matters. If some of the old school druids can maybe remember back to when they first started....did you wear patchwork type armor? how did you make pp? I know spider silks and some tradeskill stuff used to be somewhat of the trend.

Of course as I level I will search for threads on where to hunt. I just want to have fun again w/o being sucked into heavy play times. (prob 1-2 times a week)

Thanks for any advice. Wonderful site you have here.

It matters :) Sneak and hide are awsome. Hide for the everlasting-afk-invis effect that it has, and the faction-adjustment from hide will guaranteed save you a truckload of faction work on more than one occation.

Can you live as a druid without sneak/hide? Certainly. But why should you when it definitely has good uses, and it's there for you to take. For free. No charge :)
