Last time something like this happened I was 6 years old. It's very vivid in my memory. I remember driving around in ash and, having to wear masks. It's amazing that it's happening again. With the Hurricanes in the south east and other global events it feels like we are in some strange nexus. Even though this does not directly affect me living within 100 miles still makes me think. Mt. St. Helens isn't the only active volcano in the Cascade range it's just the recently most active. It makes one pause and think.
