...are there any?

I have only seen the mob up 3 times with the zone empty and within minutes of it spawning , also spawns other druids, so speed is the key to engaging, but if your in the sort of guild where they would rather LFG in WoS than help you, you have no option but to solo, but how do you solo it?

I know the only weapon you could use is the elder snow griffon, as it's the highest leveled animal in the zone, but is that enough.

Sharing your techniques will help oh so many other druids who are in the same boat as me.

Thanks :)

I soloed him but wasn't anything special to it. Charmed Icefang, buffed him to the max with haste, 2 weapons and Lion's strength. Got a full buff compliment for myself on the way there. Snare all 3 mobs, nuke down the guards (takes about 2 nukes each) then debuff the hell out of the raider. Hand of ro, glacier's breath, sun's corona and then have him follow you to one of the walls of the building.

I let him pin me to the wall and started blasting him. When I'd get to about 50% I'd heal myself and then back to blasting him while my pet puppy was doing some dps all the while. He got some lucky interrupts on me and got me to 20% a few times but I always managed to channel a heal about then.

Also duoed him with a druid and duoed him with a bard. Took 5 kills to get my piece and 2 of those kills were solo. Now I'm not claiming anyone can solo him cause he does hit hard, I'm just saying that this is the only way I know of to solo him.

I did Raider twice and got the totem on the second attempt but this was after Absor posted that the totem would drop everytime. How I did it was to camp at Icefang camp and wait for spawn. I DCed an Elephant the first time and a Rhino the second time put STR and SoE on em.

When I saw em on track I would buff up and then track to em. I root the first Man of War and pull the Raider and second man of war away, then root the second Man of War. Then I would dot the Raider up with Swarming death, Immolation of Ro, Winged Death and Breath of Ro and send pet in. I never snared him cause I thought I had read he was immune but I guess I am wrong. I would just run him along the coast and keep dotting while pet attack from the back. I never saw either of the Man of War after I rooted them, it appears that if you put some distance between you and them they won't follow. The second time I did this an very nice chanter came by and haste my pet, so the raider went down much faster. Also Exten Range item (or Tribute) is a must so you can get your dots off.

Solo'd him several times, but it's not really easy. With 2 people it's trivial. DC can help, but only if you don't root him. I prefer to root so I don't get stupid walrus adds that may interrupt.

Buff yourself fully (with other class buffs if you're not time+ equipped). Get thorns/regen up, etc. Wrath of the wild might help on the fight, but I don't use it until later, so I don't accidentally start the summons. BoR and spell haste (tribute if you have to) help.

Snare him first. Snare other 2 adds next. Kill the other adds. Root him in good spot and med to full. Throw in any no damage debuffs (hand for nukes, illum for lesser attacks). If you have that crappy boon, you can lay it down. At this point I throw wrath of wild on myself.

When you're ready to damage him, start by stacking a few dots (swarm, wasp swarm, and VoT are best). Hopefully you can land all 3 before summons begin. Every time he summons, move a few steps away. Keep the 2 or 3 dots up, casting 1 spell between summons. Every 3rd or 4th summon, you may need to quick heal yourself. keep this up and he should die. When I do summoners this way, I don't nuke often, and wouldn't recommend it at all unless you have the root aas.

Other good way to do it is DC a pet, haste and buff it. Start out the same way (kill adds, root, med, debuff, etc). He should be plenty mad at you. If you're not sure, throw in another 5 snares for good measure. When root breaks, dot him and throw in the pet. When he summons, don't run too far, just enough to still have time to cast a spell. Keep your best dot up for aggro and nuke or more dots. Pet should do some pretty good damage. You should only need a heal every now and then. Be careful not to run into adds that might interrupt you.

I just kill the 2 adds first, then when FM again, just tank the raider and nuke, healing self as needed.
