What are your thoughts on this equipment set for a druid.

I just glanced at it and it's a cool set.

It's nice to have alot of +agility and +strength with the +intellect as well.

It would be a good all around set if you just wanted to have one good set that would enable all forms to be used effectively.

Might be a good moonkin set as well with the +spell damage +critical strike % and the +150 armor.

Awesome pvp set, and attainable without giving up your life to make rank 13.

Good all around stats, great effects for balance with +dmg/heal, spell crit, and mana regen; and love the shorter rebirth set bonus (3 an hour instead of 2).

It appears to try to address the druids needing to carry around 3 sets of gear by providing decent stats across the board. The problem is it bacame too general druid, and if you want to maximize for any particular role, you won't use this.

For Resto role, Stormrage is still better (granted its more pieces, but all the + healing rocks). For Feral, I still think the sanctuary set is better (almost double the AP). For balance, this set is really good, but if you leave off the Str and Agi and focus on the int and spell gear, I think you will be able to maaximize your spells better.

I still intend to get this. First, because I will never make rank 13, second my guild is unlikely to ever become a MC guild (and I don't want to change), and third because a rep grind seems a real doable possibility (albeit one with a huge time commitment).

I don't think this armor is really going to be avialable to non-raiders. It's all based on AQ Brood of Naz' faction (we all start out hated) so I'm going to assume, much like the ZG armor, you have to raid AQ 20/40 to get both the faction and quest items.

As Gwmort pointed out, you can specialize better with other armor... and raids are really all about specialization. In 5man groups and in WSG/AB I really like a hybrid spread of stats... but by the time you get to this gear, you should be about done with 5mans.

The only druids that prob 'must have' this is gonna be tanks... I'm gonna assume that the 150ac set bonus will factor into bear, and the high AC from this set puts it right up there with ZG/ABfaction as prime Max AC gear.

Now those rings... that's a tougher call on which to take.

Some nice gear there, but ya more than likely its all going to be faction based so it will still be hard for the solo/casual player to get.

Honestly Im kinda getting tired of all this rep crap. Why are they so stuck on it? I mean something that you can grind solo is all well and good but the ZG set up I just dont like.

I would like to see some instances with say 2-3 bosses that take 2-3 hours to run. Something like the Lost Dungeons in EQ. Make the drops sorta rare and make them challenging. Something that smaller guilds and casual players can do without taking up 5-6 hours or more.

It's impossible for a solo/casual player to get the Brood set, as it requires raiding AQ40 for the parts. A time-limited player will have difficulty obtaining it as well, though it's still potentially possible.

They are stuck on the rep grind because it requires you to spend a set amount of time on it to be able to progress, and allows them to reward different targets with the same drops (via the quest mechanic anyways), without letting someone who just stepped foot inside get the best items.

Not saying I agree with the mechanic, but I see why they did it.

On the bright side, everything in AQ40 is worth 100+ Brood rep/kill. Similarly you can raise Cenarion Circle rep for the 3 piece set fairly quickly with AQ20.

Shame the rings require the prior one to be turned in for the next one too, would be nice to get two rings out of it =-p

I agree completely Anubrim I wish that they had more upper level solo to small group. things to do for us casual gamers. Especially now that my wife and I have recently found out that we are expecting our first child my game time will decrease rapidly in about 8 months. This will not be a bad thing by any means just a change. Sorry I digress, thanks for all the input everyone,

I am trying to hold out hope that there will be someway to raise the faction in small group and then just need to join a couple of raids to get the quest items once we get there. I think its interesting you only neet to get to honored to finish it off, not exalted (suppose it makes up for starting in Hated).

My brother went down there and soloed a couple of mobs and got some rep for it.

You sure your brother didn't get Cenarion Circle rep? After doing 'Only One May Rise' I'm at somthing like 100/32,000 into hated with the Brood.

This is the e-mail he sent me:

"I actually did a quest yesterday which involved introducing myself to the Brood. I killed a lvl 50 elite dragon at the entrance to the Cavern of time area, and then beyond him was a lvl 61 elite. Beyond that one was a another named lvl (skull and crossbones) elite. Anachronos or something like that. WIth the quest completed, I am now level 100 of 21000 into Hated with the Brood. I think the first reward was an epic ring when you get to Neutral! Yeah I don't think that's going to be happening any time soon."

It may be the same thing you are talking about.
