Ok, So I now have 3 head pieces for feral gear, and I don't know which ones I want to keep. Maybe all.

The three are:

Eye of Rend
Bonering Helm
Shadowcraft Cap

I think I'm goingt o use SC cap for cat (primarily b/c I have a SC belt, so I get a +200 armor bonus). Though I don't know which to keep for bear form. Eye of rend has more str and +2% crit, though Bonering helm has +30 stam, which is always good for tanking. Just cant decide :P Any suggestions?

It depends on your other gear ( for bear )....

This list ( http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-druid&t=296661&p=1&tmp=1#post296661 ) rates the eye of rend higher up than bone ring helm, but for me I think it depends on the rest of your tanking gear.

I like the AC on both. Bone ring seems to be a more general everyday use with all the stats it has on it.

While Eye of Rend has less stamina, if you have even a slightly decent healer with you, the lessend stamina won't really matter. A difference of 13 stam is like 130 health? That's 1/2 an extra hit in an upper end instance, so I don't see it being a real issue.

Hmm. yeah, that makes sense. I was thinking that I should try to max my stam for my tanking gear, though thus far I have been taking everything I can find with AC and +def. the +def isnt necessarily something I look for, but it seems to come with the high ac gear (i.e. cloak of warding / warden staff). I have found that with a lot of +def gear I dont get critted as often, and healers have a fairly easy time keeping me up. So maybe stamina isnt super necessary.

I do really like Eye of Rend. More crits = more rage = more damage/aggro also.

Clair, does the AC bonus from Shadowcraft get multiplyed by bear form's AC bonus? or is it just added like a buff? If it's multiplied, that'd be what I used to tank.

I used to use the Bonering helm in feral for it's more hybrid spread of stats and the nice Sta bonus.

That's one of the best Druid/Rogue helms in the game.

Gahz isn't the hardest boss, but getting him to drop the helm has been annoying. Personally, I wouldn't take it from one of my guild's rogues if it ever does drop... and I'm usually the one that summons the boss.

hmm well i've seen 3 drop.. and they always go to druids; i'm not sure on the bloodfang helm stats, but i'm pretty sure they are better

I'm pretty sure its not multiplied. But the +200ac is nice, and the stats are pretty good too for my cat form. I have been using frostbite girdle and eye of rend for tanking until I get Eye of Forors.

No idea how to even summon him. I should look into that.
