I can't decide which moonkin build to go with any suggestions welcome.

Build 1:
Improved Wrath rank 5/5
Nature's Grasp rank 1/1
Improved Moonfire rank 5/5
Natural Weapons rank 5/5
Natural Shapeshifter rank 3/3
Omen of Clarity rank 1/1
Vengeance rank 5/5
Improved Starfire rank 5/5
Nature's Grace rank 1/1
Moonglow rank 3/3
Moonfury rank 5/5
Moonkin Form rank 1/1

Restoration Talents - 11 point(s)
Furor rank 5/5
Nature's Focus rank 5/5
Insect Swarm rank 1/1

Build 2:
Improved Wrath rank 5/5
Nature's Grasp rank 1/1
Improved Moonfire rank 5/5
Natural Weapons rank 5/5
Natural Shapeshifter rank 3/3
Omen of Clarity rank 1/1
Vengeance rank 5/5
Improved Starfire rank 5/5
Nature's Grace rank 1/1
Moonglow rank 3/3
Moonfury rank 5/5
Moonkin Form rank 1/1

Feral Combat Talents - 11 point(s)
Ferocity rank 5/5
Thick Hide rank 5/5
Feral Charge rank 1/1

I believe the biggest thing I would miss going with build 1 is Thick Hide, but with build one I gain another DoT and chance to miss as well as hard to interrupt heals when I shift out. With build 2 I have thick hide and feral charge so I am torn. Any suggestions?

Option 1 you have used furor to get to insect swarm, but I wonder how often you'll be in bear to make use of furor. You won't have the thick hide and you won't have feral charge.

The answer depends on where you intend on being. In a dungeon or on the battlefield?

Wulfgor hit it on the head. If you are going to be doing any raiding / instancing and healing yourself and others, Resto is probably the way to go. If you are going to pure PvP / BG, the feral route will be good. I'd say either would be a good build.

I always loved Natures Focus and Insect Swarm, though I love my feral charge too. /shrug

That is a great point I probably should put the five from furor into IMOTW for more of a supportive role since I agree I would not be in bear much and if I am I won't have the charge that would require the immediate rage. I am leaning towards build 1 since I do not do a lot of PVP except for open world. This however may change as I do not have the time to devote to raiding, but that is what a respec is for :)

Its funny that you posted this because I've been pondering re'specing myself. Your second build is going to be hard without Furor to give you that instant rage that you need for Feral Charge. Your first build, I would also suggest taking the points out of Furor and poping them into Improved Mark of the Wild.
That being said, I think that your second build is the way to go. It will allow you to both 'nuke' and heal, giving you greater versitility. I personally do miss Feral Charge but the way I see it, its 16 points to get it (11 in Feral + 5 for Furor) and thats points that I could put else where to maximize my build.
I've put my build below to give you an idea of where I'm going with mine and if you would like to compare and take it as a suggestion.

My end game build for both PvP and PvE is going to be:
3/5 Improved Wrath
2/5 Nature's Grasp
5/5 Improved Moonfire
-> 5/5 Vengence
3/3 Natural Shapeshifter
2/2 Nature's Reach
5/5 Imp Starfire
3/3 Moonglow
1/1 Nature's Grace
-> 5/5 Moonfury
1/1 Moonkin Form

5/5 Improved Mark o'the Wild
5/5 Improved Healing Touch
5/5 Nature's Grace
1/1 Insect Swarm

Cheers,
Ephrim

I just noticed one thing looking at Thottbot. Insect Swarm is a restoration spell ( yes i klnow makes sense it is in the resto tree I just wasn't thinking). This decreases its value since I could not cast it in Moonkin.

I'm about to respec since I am nearing 60. I am going 33/0/18.

I'll lose 5 ranks of improved starfire, and 2 ranks of improved wrath, but I'll get the three ranks of the regen while casting talent (sorry forget name), IS, and 3 ranks of improved rejuv.

I'll miss the occassional stun from ImSF, but it rarely mattered much, and I'll be a much stronger back-up healer and PuG MHer. I also went with the IMotW over furor.
