Hi.

Im thinking needed enchants for feral druids (or on any feralish items druids have).. couldnt find any post on this(.. strange enough)

[bare in mind I'm not sure about the calculations Ive made before, was a while back- might mix all the stats up]

Asking around rogues and warriors won't get me nowhere it seems, as its calculated diffrent for druids.

For example I asked a fellow warrior on what enchant is good to put on the chest piece. Most warrs have +100 HP ench on their chest.
When calculating on the armor(or dodge not sure) gained by agi I think that 1 agi is aprox. 1.65 armor in bear form while 1 agi is 1.5 armor for a warrior.

With the loss of 60 HP, using a +4 stats to chest(instead of +100 HP) druids would gain 8.25 armor(base?) from the agi .

Im thinking that druids gain more on agi (being more roguish) then warriors.

Should I go for the +4 stats or the 100HP, only considering tanking? My bet is that I should go for the stats but Im not sure.

And what other enchants are good for feral tanks - stam or agi? mix 'n match?
(Atm Im keeping several, 3-4, combinations of gear to cover feral aspect aswell as resto aspect, thus not a need for healing/mana regen)

I think the bonuses to all stats are the way to go for druids due to our hybrid nature (I didn't even know there was a +5 tho). The stats will get you more AP, AC, dodge, crit, mana, regen and hp the net effect is significant.

My priorities for enchants are (in order): STR, AGI (or STA if no AGI is an option), Shadow Resistance (yes, I find locks and priests hardest to pvp againstn so I just looove shadow resistance).. and I always run around with my pvp trinket and a shadow reflector if they arent on cooldown. :D

But as for your chest, I would go for +4 to all stats. Stats are important to druids (Heck, even SPI is useful to all druids nowadays when we have Innervate). And if you have HotW stats become even better.

ty for the answers.

Must be thinking of the +4 stats ;) (changed now)

As I was thinking as the HP is as much as for warriors, the agi is what really counts for tanking druids(mainly considering PvE, tho the PvP aspect is god to have in mind).
With no block, dodge is even more a factor to consider.

Does anyone know of the maths I was posting, are they accurate?

Well if money is not a factor you also might look into a Core Leather Armour kit. The +Def would help with higher level Mobs seeing as that is one the harder things to find for feral druid gear. I've always been more partial to items that have an effect for more then one hit or cast like + HP/Mana. Just matter of opinion though.

I use to be all about agility enchants, and then strength if I couldnt find an agi enchant for that slot. However, after playing for quite a long time, I switched all my enchants over to STA because I love the extra health. I am almost at 5k HP in cat form with my enchants and gear right now and I can tell a difference between that and 4k.

I would say focus on agility on most of your armor, there are some parts like the bracers that you cant put agility on, so its better to put strength.

1 Agility point awards you 1 AP, and some crit/hit/dodge chance, which is needed for PvP. I know that approx 25 agility = 1% crit and 15 agi is 1% to hit/dodge

Strength only gives AP for druids.

Make sure you have good equipment before you put it on

nice to see so many replies :)

As for pvp I dont do that much, strange enough - thats the place for a feral druid ^^

Stamina might too be good *hmmm*, yesterday at Ragnaros I stayed in bear form damegeing instead of cat - just to stay alive, good advice.
I healed too so then the mix 'n match of +4 stats would be quite good. I dont like the fat that +stam is fixed, +4 stats gives something extra in all forms, even tho HP to is essential in all forms.

The chest Im having/putting the ench on is Thick Silithid Chestguard (http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=21467) good enough for me ;)

Core leather armor kits prices are sky high on my server, last time I checked, so I doubt I will get hold of one.
And I dont want to hazzle my raid leader and leather worker for a kit as its needed for other things - got a molten helm yesterday :D yey!

BTW; I have the +100 HP now on it as the reagents needed isnt that much of an effert, I get back once I have the +4 stats to tell if I can see any diffrence - I doubt I can notice any tho.

Well 4 stats is a bit better, since its universal and it can help a bit, I doubt 100 health will do any difference as well.

Core Armor Kits on a druid are a bit no needed, sicne you can only put them on 4 parts and gain 12 defence, which wont make any difference.
