I'm a total newb at this. I'd like to set up a macro that switches out my INT/SPR gear for AGI/STR gear, for example.

Can someone explain this to me? :sumo:

Look for an add-on called "Item Rack" makes switching gear very easy IMO (easey for those of us who can't code macros!)

As I got better gear I didn't need it as much. Before when I had gear for sta(pvp), gear for healing/int,gear for dps, mixed sta/dps, mixed healing/dps/sta. I would normally only use dps/sta and healing/int.. but you can imagine how much trouble it's saved me.

so 1.96 works with the latest WoW patch?

It should, if not there are million other gear\weapon switching tools that are easy to use.

Great too for switching into FR gear quickly while in MC!

no use for a addon for this just read the instructions and u will easily be able to make a macro for this.....;P
