I don't do much PVP so bear with me on this. I'm 49 now and have done maybe 4 BG's the whole time. I haven't quite figured out my role in a BG. I've tried to put on my sta/agi gear and mix it up as a cat or bear. I've tried straight up healing and even nuking. I'm spec'ed mostly in Resto with 35 points in it so that's my niche in groups.

When I'm healing in a BG eventually I get whacked really bad because the Horde players will focus on me. Don't get me started on lack of protection for Alliance healers LOL. I've done the cat form stealthed in the bushes waiting for runners and mix it up when the fighting is in the open like that.

What do you find we excell at stopping flag bearers being the flag bearer, support role, etc...?

We excel at many things in WSG. Since your a resto druid, you would make an excellent flag runner. My normal routine against good teams is I will stealth up to their flag room, throw a regrowth, rejuv, and barkskin and pick up the flag and take off. Shift quickly when you get movement impairing effects and you always have swiftmend for instant heals every 15 secs and NS for that big heal when you need it. Natures Grasp works well for peeling off melee from you as well.

We can also be a huge help at stopping fellow druid runners by sleeping them or rooting to allow our team to catch up with them. And if your not running the flag, heal the person that is.

Druids are one of the best support classes in the game.

Can't add much to what lorath said. My recent respec to resto has totally changed how I play in BGs, but I do a great job keeping people alive now. Sure, I'll get WTFBBQPWND by a double or triple team sometimes, but often times I can count on my teammates to come help.

Work on getting a group together ahead of time. Get the names of people you've seen and feel they play well as a team. A performed group is considerably more successful than a pug.
