So ive spent many hours playing my druid, and now have him to 51. i am a full feral build with buff points added, and have a small liking to Maces..2 handers, and i have been eyeballin a tasty mace called the taran icebreaker. ATM i use blanchards stout, which i will link both in a few more lines, and would like to upgrade. My only question with this is whether or not chance on hits are any good when in druid forms. The extra damage, on top of the higher DPS, would be incredible for me, but will it proc. If so, at what kind of a rate??

Weapon procs do not work in bear or cat form, only caster and Moonkin.

Due to gw's reasons above, the things your looking for on a weapon are attribute stats and anything like EQUIP: Increases your chance to dodge/hit/crit etc. "On Equip" being the key words. "Chance on hit" is a proc (programmed random occurrance) and will not occur, hehe...in feral forms. I think most people will tell you the Blanchard Stout is the better weapon for druids. Most have this for a long time until you can get something like Doomulus Prime ('Perfect Poison' quest out of Silithus)

Also, weapon dps has nothing to do with your dps in feral forms. Weapon dps only relates to the damage you do when you actually hit the mob with your weapon, not your claws.

Blanchard's stout is a far better weapon.

Tbh, Blanchard's Stout was the only weapon I ever bought from teh AH (got it for 15g @ level 43). Used it up til I was mid-50s when I got Fist of Omokk. Bonecrusher is nice but I vendored it because I was resto.

Doomulus Prime is my feral mace now for when xpac comes out :)

I didn't even know about Blanchard's Stout untill now. :) I'll be saving for one of those when i hit 40, make sure i can buy it by 45. :)
