I'm a lvl 34 druid on a pve server. Planning to go heavy on resto with some feral abilities so that I can defend myself when the tank fails. Here is my current build

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/druid/talents.html?0000000000000000500000000000000005550 3000000000

This is what I think I'm going for.

I'm also tempted to go this route
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/druid/talents.html?4000000000000000500050030000000005550 3105315001

Can you guys make suggestions as to what which one, what changes and why?

Thanks

For raids then your first choice is ok although i would put the 5points in improved MOTW. As for your 2nd choice yhr 4 points in wrath is a complete waste either put them in feral or resto.

My spec for BWL/AQ/Naxx

really MotW over Furor? I had it that way for awhile and respec'd because I found that I couldn't do damage fast enough without it. Maybe I could take those 4 points from Imp. wrath and put it in MotW. what do you think?

The idea is that if you are healing in raids, you typically won't be doing much, if any feral damage.

If your focus is soloing, while healing 5 and 10 mans occasionally, take furor.

If your focus is going to be healing raids, you will also be buffing them as well, so iMoTW > furor.

I miss furor personally, but iMoTW is great for raiding purposes. I haven't actually looked at your builds cause they are blocked for me at work, but that's what I think lifeofagony was suggesting

hmm. I have no idea what I'll be doing after 60 so I guess the real question is which is better for leveling? I think I'll probably stick with Furor for now and maybe switch to MotW if it becomes necessary. Or I guess I could take them both. but what to cut?

I can't see your builds atm....but you can have both imp MotW and Furor. My current build uses them. I'm not a big fan of Nature's Focus. Not sure if you have it, but its a waste IMO. For leveling, go 31pts or so in feral, then 5/5 Furor, then fill in rest of balance tree. You can always respec at 60 depending on your ultimate role in WoW

Imp. MotW is more or less useless for grinding -- it's biggest use is the resistance increase when raiding. If you plan on respeccing when you get to 60, to start raiding, don't bother with IMotW yet. (Btw, we've got 1-2 druids in the guild with IMotW -- the rest just bring reagents and let them do the buffing.)

Furor rocks as a grinding/leveling talent. I'd keep it.

Nature's Focus is a great talent if you group with crappy tanks that can't keep aggro (i.e. most pugs), especially before lvl60 since tanks are still learning.

Feline swiftness simply rocks for grinding. :-)

Your Imp. Wrath seems a bit weird (like others have already pointed out.) :-P

What I'd do if I started a druid now, and was aiming at feral/resto, is go down to feline swiftness first (since I grind a lot), then start on the resto tree (with Furor first.)

I very much disagree. I think that Natures Focus is one of the must have druid talents... ESP if you are going for a feral / resto build. I'm just pissed that priests get the same talent but for only 2 points compared to resto druid's 5. Being able to heal yourself while you are being attacked is invaluable. Especially if you don't have natures swiftness for an insta heal.
