For those who don't check up on BC progress, a flying mount will cost you 500 gold and the skill (riding 300) will cost you 5000 gold. Then again, if you are a druid, you get the riding skill free. :)

Check out this thread.

Those are for the epic level only. For the non-epic flying skill it is 800g, and a mount is 100g.

They said we would get a skill update with crow form, they didnt say we would get skill level 300.

For all we know, regular flying mounts are like skill level 225, and epic flying mounts are 300, and stormcrow will give us skill lvl 225. still requireing us all to train for lvl 300 if we want epic flying mounts.

Yes, but there were the hints to an epic flying form as well.

Im The Flying Bear of Doom. I think im entitled 2 epic mount riding skill. I should mail blizzard and tell them to give me the skill or at least the sword of a thousand truths. :P

Has a picture of our new flying form been posted? Do we get this with our new talents or is this purchased with the expansion?

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/bc-druid/spells.html#none

Its a level 68 spell. Since Alpha(and possibly beta?) are only allowed to level to 67, nobody has actually gottent his yet.

So if you can only use in the outland, what is the benefit of this vs just using your flying mount? In other words would you just use the form in combat (like cheetah) vs the 3 second mount loadup?

Actually, flight form isn't usable in combat.

But the advantage:
"Oooh, what's that? Looks like ants from way up here--wait, they're level 68 players! Poor guys, can't fly for two more levels." *flies away*

Besides, who wouldn't want a flight form?

A close friend of mine is an alpha tester for BC and he told me that the regular flying mounts require riding skill of 225, and the artisan(epic) flying mounts require riding skill of 300. Albeit they of course might change it. And, I agree with Veridan on that last part.

Any chance that our form will one day (soon) be avail in the rest of the areas?

I don't know if they'll change it or not, but the blizzard page on druids says flight form is instant cast.

We were told at one point that we would be given a significant discount on our epic flying mount. With the current hell that pallys/warlocks have to go through to get their normal epic mount, I'd doubt we'd be given epic riding skill for free.

Still. A druid can dream, can't he? Plus we still get skill 225 free and that is a bonus since we can just waltz in at level 70 and nuy our first mount of the bat.
