I want to focus on my Enchanting skills. I've been reading and it seems that Tailoring is the best complimentary skill for Enchanting. My skinning is at 117. Is it worth it to drop skinning for tailoring? Any advice would be great
Yes it's worth it if you want to level enchanting. Unless you have lots of gold ofc. :)
Early on, tailoring has better stuff to disenchant, but if you keep skinning and find a leatherworker friend, the things you can make to get Illusion Dust and Greater Eternal Essence are greater. Wicked leather headband is my greatest friend. It's only 12 rugged leather, black dye and rune thread and you get Illusion dust, GEE, and every once in awhile a Large Brilliant Shard.
Plus you sell all that cloth that you would have used in tailoring and any skins left over.

Adding on to Turz, with skinning you can also get someone (a LW) to turn your hides into cured rugged hides (and if its a friend who'll do it for free! all the better)
