New (returning) player, Druid and wife

My wife got a copy of WoW recently as a gift, so I reactivated my long dead account and decided to try it again. Trying a druid this time around.

The one part that bothered me before still bothers me – the “run here/run there” bit.

Am I correct that we (druids) don’t get a speed spell till 40? And no teleport spells?

Can I buy my wife a mount? Does that require a level of status or character level, or just the amount of gold?

Thanks!
Dan

Druid travel form comes at level 30.

To buy a mount you need to be level 40 and have 100g (or thereabouts depending on your reputation etc).

We get aquatic form at level 16.

After a while the run here and there becomes second nature and you ignore it, sometimes one has to travel.

Stick with it , druids are magic.

If you go feral (Which you should for leveling) you get Feline Swiftness in cat form which is +30% speed.

We also get "Teleport to Moonglade" around level 10 which comes in handy if you stay hearthed in the Eastern Kingdoms.

This is a must. I hearth to Stormwind, and use the Teleport to Moonglade. From Moonglade, you must fly to Rutheran Village first, but I still think it saves time. Although you can meet interesting people on the boat...

In South Moonglade (just to the right of where the trail branches off to go to Feralas / Winterspring) there is a FP that will allow you to fly anywhere else that you want to go without having to go to Rutheran first.

Shame I only found this out when I hit 60 =(. Leveling in Winterspring would have been tons easier.
