You get them as drops from all over the world. Some that come to mind are: various kinds of dragons, various kinds of birds, various kinds of cats, a spider, a mini worg wolf, and the jubling.

Search thottbot for drop zones, etc, or you can buy one on the AH. For example "white kitten carrier" usually sells between 1 and 5g on the ah, and it takes up a spot in your inventory, but everytime you click on it, you get a white kitten to follow you around.

All no combative pets. I probably have 1/3 of them. No wonder I have no bag space >.<

I use to have one an owl I think.It followed me when I stealth. Dead giveaway in pvp so I just don't use it anymore.

I picked up a black kingsnake on my Warlock. Something even more evil about the lock now with not only a giant felguard demon with a huge axe, but a black snake slithering around with me too. Love it.

y priest got a random tiny crimson whelpling as a drop when she was in wetalnds in her 20's. That has stuck with her ever since. Star still pulls out her lil' dragon all the time in the Outland.
