Now that i have installed WoW on my new XPS, the first patch downloaded, but everytime patch 2.0.1 gets to 99% ,it says it cannot create the file and stops.
Any idea how to fix this?

If you're using the Blizzard Downloader (which is a lot better now than it used to be) make sure you have your firewalls disabled or follow the guide on the WoW FAQ to open up some ports.

I usually tend to manually download the patches.

Once you download it, make sure you place it in your C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft directory and double click to patch it.

There are also much better places to get patches than the blizzard downloader.

Try Fileplanet for example. That's usually where I get all my patches, and definitely where I'll download 2.1 ( it's a biggy! ) from.

Does the new XPS have Vista preinstalled? Try running WoW as administrator (right-click, Run as Administrator), it needs full privileges to install the files.
