Hey guys!

I need some help regarding resistance gear..
I was asked to gather up some gear so I could tank the adds to Hydross...
This means that I need to get about 150 Frost and 150 Nature resistance in the same gear setup...

Anyone else here tanked those adds? And could you please give me some tips on what kind of gear I should be aiming for?

You can get 70 Nature res from a hunter and/or shammy.

Everything I have read says it's better to just wear full tanking gear for this. You really need 200+ cold/nature resist for it to be useful, and to get that you sacrifice a lot of dodge and crit avoidance. Most guilds don't bother with resists for the off-tanks.

I've been working on gear sets for just this fight as well. I have about 200 NR and about 80 Frost.

This sacrificed a good chunk of health, so on our next attempt I am considering stacking as much stam ( and some resilience ) as possible to see how that works out.

yeah, ill ask abit more to be honest in my guild... Maybe just a massive amount of stamina is good enough to tank the adds...

use your tank gear, GotW, hunter buff, then flask of protection along with potion of major protection.

Flasks & Elixirs don't stack anymore, it's one or the other.

Not sure what flask you're eluding to though, though I <3 Elixir of Major Agility
